SUMMARY:Turned on : Science\, Sex and Robots
DESCRIPTION:Our interactions with robots have been increasing throughout the years. Some of our more intimate desires are fulfilled by robots these days. What about having intercourse with robots? Is that considered cheating? \nIs it true that these sexbots are predominating female and male sex? If so\, why? Will robo-loving lead to the end of human-to-human interaction? \nJoin computer scientist and author of Turned On: Science\, Sex and Robots\, Dr Kate Devlin to delve into the big questions we should all be asking about our future interactions with robots\, and the ever-growing role of technology in sex. \nExplore how virtual reality\, augmented reality\, machine learning and the web increasingly affect our sex lives and our romantic relationships. \nFollowing the talk\, Kate Devlin will be signing copies of Turned On: Science\, Sex and Robots in the IMAX Theatre. \nTickets  :  https://prideinlondon.org/events/turned-on/

Sometimes when the theme of the evening does not have strong links to Computing\, we plan our own activities. \n9pm+ Departure – the Science Museum remains open until 9.45pm\, but choose to leave around 9pm or earlier\, particularly when it’s a school day the following day. So stay for as little or long as you wish. \nOn the last Wednesday of every month (except December)\, the Science Museum closes at 6pm and then re-opens again from 6.45pm until 10:00pm for “Lates”\, an evening packed full of talks\, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
