SUMMARY:Islington Festival Art Workshop - Abstract Drawing Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky & Live Music
DESCRIPTION:“Colour is the key. The eye is the hammer. The soul is the piano with its many chords.” The paintings of Wassily Kandinsky will serve as a starting point for an expressive workshop with a focus on generating ideas that will transform sound into an image. Demonstrations and instruction will guide artists towards understanding how a musical performance can be represented pictorially. \nYou will be drawing in direct response to music played by an ensemble creatively and intuitively. The class will include lessons in basic colour theory\, mark-making and tonal contrast. By the end of the workshop\, you will produce a series of captivating colour drawings informed by your individual response to rhythm and music. \nArt Workshop – Abstract Drawing Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky & Live Music
