DESCRIPTION:Welcome to improvised comedy! At Playface we focus on joy and comedy through play and a super supportive atmosphere – we’re going to have so much fun. \n  \nWhat will we do? \nOur course takes you through the basics of improv\, playing characters and creating something magical together. Whilst showing you a taster of the different forms that improv comedy can take; short form\, long form\, narrative and more (what does this mean? You’ll find out). We provide you with enough experience and information to decide where to take your improv or comedy journey after the course. \nThink of this as your foundation course in improvised comedy. \n  \nWhy improv? \nAs well as being lots of fun to play with our imaginations and others\, improv can help in all aspects of your life. Improv can help build confidence\, creativity\, compassion\, collaboration and a whole bunch of other things that don’t begin with C. It can help you stay calm in stressful situations\, think on your feet and feel happy playing together in a team. You can read about why Viki started improv here. \n  \nThis course is great if you want to: \n\nConnect with others\, improve your listening and build something together\nBe more comfortable making mistakes and getting joy from them\nHave fun pretending to be plumbers\, wizards and cats with other adults\nBecome more confident in performing and presenting\nTry a few different forms of improv to see which you prefer doing\nFeel more comfortable improvising in other forms of comedy or theatre\n\n  \nDo I need experience? \nNo\, this is for beginners. You don’t need any acting\, performing or comedy experience. In fact\, you don’t even have to have liked drama in school! \nYou also don’t need to be funny or an extrovert. We set the environment to be supportive and collaborative so we’ll all work together to create something beautiful over the 4 weeks. \n  \nThe class takes places every Monday evening from 7pm – 9.30pm across 4 weeks. She teaches with Playface and has a focus on vibrant characters and upbeat energy. \nOutside of improv\, Viki has trained in stand up\, clown and sketch (Angel Comedy\, Viggo Venn\, AYN). You may spot her around the London stand up circuit covered in houseplants or fooling around on the stage of Modern Art. \nViki’s also a trained happiness facilitator with the Museum of Happiness so you can bet that her workshops have a super upbeat and positive energy\, leaving you feeling good as you skip out into the world! \n\nAbout Playface \nPlayface is a comedy club\, school and community for clown and improvisation. \n

DESCRIPTION:cyan.rar \n22nd Nov – 29th Nov \nPrivate View 22nd November 7 – 9 pm \nIslington Arts Factory // London \n#CyanRar #IslingtonArtsFactory \nart.ists\nKo ‘Carol’ Huai-Ching\, Youngha Kim\, Aisling Browne\, Natasha Moody\, Robbie Di Vito\, AyshiaTaskin\, Rachel Innes \nSpecific colours have come to be imbued with symbols\, meaning and histories while equally contributing\, through their applications\, to contemporary life. Therefore\, for Cyan.rar\, seven emerging artists coagulate to create work through the investigation of the colour cyan and the significance it has played in cultural\, literacy\, symbolic and internal topics. \nThe colour cyan is of a cosmopolitan greenish-blue tone and known by a variety of names; turquoise\, electric blue\, aqua and teal. The cyanic shade\, induced through illumination\, vividly expresses itself through the principal wavelength of between 490–520 nm (nanometres). A colour which captivatingly exists within a limonoid state amid green and blue hues. Along with magenta\, black and yellow\, cyan is included within the ‘primary colour’ schemata. The technical side of the colour cyan is its use\, as an additive colour\, within the RGB classification – a system which produces all colours viewed on a computer or television display. The naissance of cyan occurs through a mixture of equal amounts of green and blue light. \nThe Cyan.rar exhibition realises a congregation of artworks where participating artists grapple with concepts surrounding the colour cyan. The exhibition will host print-based\, paintings and sculptural works exploring an array of subject matter from how the colour expressed in nature\, culture and theology to the focus on the .rar aspect and the investigation of the subconscious mind through the excavation of layers ‘zipped’ within the human consciousness.
