DESCRIPTION:Spontaneous Productions proudly presents a brand-new adaptation of the beloved fairy tale\, The Three Billy Goats Gruff – bursting with catchy original songs\, dazzling dance routines\, and hilarious antics\, including a mischievous puppet Troll! \n  \nEnjoy a half-term holiday treat in Home Park\, Lower Sydenham\, just behind Sydenham Library and meet the Three Billy Goats Gruff – Big Billy\, the big-brained bossy one\, Little Kid\, the youngest and most nervous one\, and Inbetweeny\, who likes to take it easy in the middle! When the changing climate makes their grass dry out\, these brave Goats must cross an old wooden Bridge to reach the fresh green grass on the other side. SUMMARY:Robin Hood - Outdoor Family Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Sydenham-based theatre company Spontaneous Productions’ 25th original family theatre show since 2017 – and its second outdoor show this summer in Home Park – is a brand new musical adaptation of the classic legend ROBIN HOOD. Full of swashbuckling adventure\, comedy\, exciting chases\, music and lots of surprises\, expect one of the biggest and most ambitious of our hugely popular family shows so far. \n\n\n\nNottingham 1211: With a plague spreading fast among the peasant populace\, bumbling monarch Prince John and his slimy servant\, the Sheriff of Nottingham\, have not only introduced compulsory mask-wearing but raised taxes on top. Little does she know what’s in store when peasant girl Robin promises to lead the rebellion against these terrible tyrants. As Prince John marks his hastily arranged marriage to Maid Marian with an archery contest\, just who is the mysterious hooded figure comes to challenge for the prize? \n\n\n\nThe show will be performed in HOME PARK\, behind Sydenham Library\, SE26 5SE (buses 194\, 202\, 356 & 450) – just a 10-minute walk from the high street! \n\n\n\nIt will run from Sat 22 July until Sun 30* July 2023 (*please note there is no performance on Wed 26 July). DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to celebrate Lewisham’s Borough of Culture in 2022 with our most original show to date – a brand new musical about Climate Change\, developed in partnership with four primary schools – Adamsrill\, Rathfern\, Our Lady & St Philip Neri and St Barts – plus artist Jessie Huckin\, composer Paul Tornbohm\, and costume designer Jackie Poulett. Since the end of 2021 the company has been working with school children\, using their ideas to create an original story\, costume and scenery designs and poetry & lyrics. \nWe are delighted to present the fruits of this collaborative project:\nIt’s 50 years in the future\, and in a society ravaged by the effects of Climate Change\, two tribes are warring\nover limited resources. The Heart Tribe live off the land and worship the sun\, while the Eye Tribe\, live by the sea\nand worship the power of water. Perhaps they can find a way to work together – build a time machine – and\nwarn their ancestors of the world that awaits them unless Climate Change can be stopped…? \nThis highly entertaining – and thought provoking – show is a fast-moving\, musical extravaganza\, featuring\namazing designs\, original songs\, audience participation and lots of surprises. In these troubled times\, we\nbelieve it will send a message of hope – and change!
