Fun Run is a race like no other. Dress up as beloved fictional character Where’s Wally and see if you can be spotted amongst a sea of other Wallys running around Battersea Park. Fun for all the family (including furry friends!) and for serious runners looking for a not-so-serious race experience\, the Where’s Wally? Fun Run is a great way to support the vital work of the National Literacy Trust. \nWith the vital funds you raise\, we can empower children who are facing the biggest disadvantages in life\, with the literacy skills they need to help them shape their future. Over a quarter of children left primary school this year without being able to read well\, which can have a huge knock-on effect for the rest of their lives\, from success at school to even navigating every day life\, as well as impacting their confidence and self-esteem. But we believe that literacy is for everyone\, and there are no limits\, no lost causes\, no last chances. \nHelp us give these children the tools they need to change their story\, by getting your stripes and running shoes on and being a Wally for the day.

DESCRIPTION:With all races starting and finishing uniquely on the track at the Battersea Park Millennium Arena\, The Battersea Park Summer Run Fest offers a great experience running around the lake\, promenade\, bandstand and pathways. Plus\, with 10km\, 5km and 3km distances\, there is something for everyone\, including children.\n‍\nThis will be a Chip timed event\, with a bespoke Medal and refreshments at the finish. In addition\, the overall top 3 male and female finishers for each distance will be awarded trophies\, as well as the following age group categories:\n‍\n10km – 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60+\n5km – 11-14\, 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60+\n3km – 6-7\, 8-9\, 10-11\, 12-13\, 14-19\, Adult\nAge categories are based upon age at day of race.\nFinish times will be based upon gun time unless waves are necessary due to covid precautions.\n‍\nOur running events appeal to all abilities – from social runners taking the plunge into their first\nrace to some of the best local athletes. We strive to create an environment where all runners\nare encouraged to achieve their personal goals\, no matter their ability.\n‍\nCovid rules at the time of the event will be adhered to. \nEntry Fees:\n10k £25 Minimum age 15\n5k £19 Minimum age 11\n3k £14 Minimum age 6\n(Affiliated club runners receive a £2 discount upon registering)
