SUMMARY:Abstract artist Intisar Alyamani launches her solo exhibition in Connaught Village
DESCRIPTION:Abstract artist Intisar Alyamani is launching her second solo exhibition of this year in Connaught Village on 23rd September.  \nIntisar Alyamani is a Goldsmiths taught artist based in London and her exhibition\, Harmony\,  will be open from 23 September to 17 October 2022 at 12 Connaught Street\, Connaught Village\, London W2. \nHarmony is a series of paintings of what the artist refers to as an extension and a portal into her experience of “bi-cultural harmony”. \nThe paintings are an aligned interplay between dynamism and stillness. Through a range of compelling and aesthetically dynamic artworks\, Alyamani seeks to onboard spectators on her journey of exploration with colour. As the artist describes it\, “dancing with my paintbrush.” Whether it be a contrast or solidarity between two colours or a blend of format  – Alyamani’s dual culturalism shines through in multiple formats. For her\, these works are personal expressions of being at the core of the beating heart of Saudi and British cultures; their music\, art\, heritage and most importantly\, the people—an extension of her everyday life\, friendships and experiences. Alyamani  has received accolades from society for her active contribution to promote Saudi art globally. She is also a Saudi British Society Trustee. \nAlyamani believes Connaught Village is the “perfect location for all who appreciate a rich heritage\, a friendly\, close community and an appreciation of fine art and style.” The exhibition is free to attend.

Next up; an intimate ‘In Conversation’ event featuring award winning journalists Sally Hayden and Christina Lamb on Tuesday 29th March. Discussing Hayden’s soon to be released book ‘My Fourth Time\, We Drowned’\, the evening promises to be an insightful and thought provoking event against a background of the book’s subject matter of refugee migration at a time where it couldn’t be more relevant. \nTuesday 29th March 2022: In conversation with Sally Hayden and Christina Lamb. \n7.30pm: drinks reception sponsored by Connaught Cellars\n8pm: author discussion start \nTickets for the event are free but registration is recommended\, although some spaces will be reserved\nfor walk-ins.
