After the talk\, guests can enjoy a private tour of Honour\, a sexually empowering clothing and accessories shop located on one London’s quirkiest\, indie streets – Lower Marsh. \n‘My Fantasy Valentine’ will invite Londoners (of all sexual orientations) to an inclusive and judgment-free space in Waterloo\, where a panel of sex influencers will share their insights\, experiences and advice on physical and emotional intimacy. \nHeld at The Glitch and hosted by Tim Taylor (Honour Clothing)\, panellists include Reed Amber\, one of the UK’s leading Sex Influencers. Reed is the co-founder of ComeCurious and host of the award-winning ‘F**ks Given’ podcast which has reached over 4.5 million downloads. Also on the panel are\, Courtney Morgan (a dominatrix with a huge global following)\, Miss Gold (a London-based dominatrix and founder of One Night Parties)\, Scotty Unfamous (a sex educator and multi award-winning erotic romance author) and Poppy Scarlett (a queer polyamory and pleasure educator). \nThe interactive event will include a drinks reception and a Q&A session\, providing attendees the opportunity to engage directly (or anonymously) with the panellists. Afterwards\, guests will take a short walk to Honour (located on the same street as The Glitch) for a private tour and a free goodie bag.

The neighbourhood’s collective vocal cords will be warmed up ahead of the film thanks to live entertainers from the VAULT festival.\n\n\n\n\n\nLower Marsh Market traders will be on hand with tasty food options\, while independent bars along Lower Marsh will have various drinks deals to keep larynxes lubricated. At The Glitch\, there will be a 2-4-1 cocktail offer (from 5 pm to 7 pm); at Greensmiths\, moviegoers can get two Aperol Spritzes for £12. Those dressing up (as a character from the evening’s film) can get a 20% discount at the Vaulty Towers bar.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe launch night will centre around a screening of Mamma Mia! – the multi-award-winning film based on the songs of ABBA.\nIn keeping with the theme\, entertainers will welcome the crowd with group games and singing exercises.\n\n\n\n\n\nEurovision 2023 might only be for one day in May\, but ‘Lower Marsh Lates… At The Movies will ensure Londoners can say\n\n\n\n\n\n“Thank you for the music” for the rest of the summer.

DESCRIPTION:During Pride 2023\, the Borough\, home to the highest proportion of London’s LGBTQ+ community\, will host a panel discussion exploring the complex relationship between faith and sexuality. \n\n\n\nHeld at St John’s Waterloo\, one of London’s most inclusive Churches\, this panel discussion aims to challenge the common perception that faith and homosexuality are incompatible and to explore ways to bridge the gap. \n\n\n\nHosted by Canon Giles Goddard from St John’s (who is also the former Chair of Inclusive Church)\, panellists include Asifa Lahore (Britain’s first out Muslim drag queen)\, Ruby Almeida (Catholic LGBTQ+ rights campaigner)\, Reverend Nathan Jones. \n\n\n\n(Senior Minister at Oasis Church Waterloo)\, Tom Ana (Interfaith Campaigner & Events Manager at London LGBTQ+ Centre) and Hava Mirviss-Carvajal (Head of Joy at Queer Yeshiva). \n\n\n\nDiscussion topics will include individual recollections of prejudice\, the challenges around cohesion between the LGBTQ+ and faith communities\, how panellists are encouraged by their faith\, and what they might say to those who have had negative experiences. \n\n\n\nThe event is the latest in the ‘Waterloo – Behind the Scenes’ debate series\, which facilitates challenging conversations to help build a better future for those who live\, work and play in the area.

In addition to a screening of the Home Alone movie\, a wreath making workshop\, skate & spray workshop\, festive face-painting\, street food stalls and giant board games\, guests will also be able to get a sneak peek of a range of hilarious comedy and fabulous cabaret from the VAULT Festival 2022 line-up. \nHeld every January to March within venues across Waterloo\, the VAULT festival is the UK’s leading independent showcase of live performance and artistic talent\, which will burst to life for eight glorious weeks of creativity from 25th January to 20th March 2022. With 2022 marking the 10th Anniversary of the festival\, it’s set to be bigger than ever before with over 600 shows of the best new theatre\, comedy\, immersive experiences\, cabaret\, live performance\, and late-night events. Miracle on Leake Street provides the perfect opportunity to get a feel for the vast range of performances that will be on offer. \nThis free event is run by WeAreWaterloo and Southbank BID and will be held at Leake Street Arches on Thursday 9th December from 6-9 pm. Donations are welcome\, and all proceeds will go to the Waterloo Action Centre – a space run by and for the local community for the past 40 years\, but which is under threat of closure.\nLeake Street Arches is usually a world away from the traditional fireplace setting\, but with music\, costumes (and even snow!)\, the festive tone will soon be set.
