DESCRIPTION:Waltham Forest who have been named London’s Borough of Culture for 2019\, is Kicking off the special year-long cultural programme is ‘Welcome to the Forest’ –  the biggest party Waltham Forest has ever seen.  It’s a unique event for all the family designed to celebrate shared past\, present and future in this much loved corner of north east London called home. \nEnjoy 3 days of spectacular performances with incredible visuals. A story of the borough will be showcased through the eyes of the Greenaway community. Bob your heads beautiful soundtracks and incredible musical talents.\n\n \n\nA huge lighting installation from artists Marshmallow Laser Feast choreographed to a soundscape by composer Erland Cooper working with local schools and choirs will be up. Locally-based international festival curators Continental Drifts will transform Forest Road into a neon-lit wonderland. International in scale and ambition but telling the local stories of this place\, it’s time to say to the world: “Welcome to the Forest”.
