DESCRIPTION:The Royal Society’s annual Summer Science Exhibition offers a free interactive experience for anyone curious about the latest advances in science and technology. This year\, visitors can get hands-on with drumming to improve their brain plasticity\, predicting the next eruption of a quiet volcano\, operating on the human eye using micro-surgical robotics in virtual reality\, or exploring how Raman spectroscopy can detect both bone diseases and life in Mars. \n\n\n\nCome and talk to more than three hundred scientists over six days about their exciting research. With plenty of activities and events to discover\, this year’s Summer Science Exhibition has something for everyone. DESCRIPTION:This year the Royal Society’s popular Summer Science Exhibition is going totally digital between 8 – 11 July 2021. \nThere is something for all ages with a packed programme of inspiring talks\, fun science from home activities\, and exciting digital content. \nNineteen research groups from across the UK will demonstrate their research through innovative digital experiences\, from escape rooms and quizzes to virtual tours and digital games. \nThis year you can explore all the cutting-edge research through our interactive Summer Science hub\, with four exciting zones: View from above\, Urban landscape\, Under the skin and Forces of nature. \nIn addition to the zones\, there will be a programme of short\, online lightning lectures every day and interactive workshops and family shows at the weekend.
