SUMMARY:SEVGİLİ ARSIZ ÖLÜM DİRMİT - Dear Shameless Death Dirmit
DESCRIPTION:Sevgili Arsız Ölüm Dirmit – Dear Shameless Death Dirmit \n“The unfulfilled dreams shattered the lives of the people I grew up among…\nI struggled endlessly to adapt to the city. I was bruised all over.\nWhile fighting\, I drifted away from the people I grew up with.\nBut I resisted — to protect my language\, my values\, and the love those people carried into my life with irrepressible joy.\nThis novel is their gift to me — to this resistance.”\n– Latife Tekin \nAbout the Play \n‘’We witness the struggle of a crowded family that has migrated from a village to the city\, told through the eyes of the youngest daughter\, Dirmit.\nConfined to a single-room home\, every member finds their own way to survive the city.\nDirmit\, however\, pushes through all obstacles with her relentless curiosity and strength to resist.\nHer mother\, Atiye\, father Huvat\, and brothers try to protect her from the city and discipline her through tradition and custom\, but Dirmit refuses to shrink herself. She keeps moving\, transforming\, insisting on claiming her own voice.\nAnd Dirmit… does she ever stop? She does not.’’\n– Hakan Emre Ünal & Nezaket Erden

DESCRIPTION:N’olcak Bu Yusuf Umut’un Hali? –  What Will Become Of Yusuf Umut? \n“I’m Yusuf Umut. People usually ask which one I actually use — Yusuf or Umut?\nI tell them I don’t really like either of them\, so I use both.\nMy grandfather insisted on Yusuf: ‘a prophet’s name\, may it bring blessings.’\nMy mother wanted Umut: ‘hope.’\nSo here I am — Yusuf Umut.” \nYusuf Umut tells the story of a young man who is running toward a freedom he can’t quite define\, yet cannot abandon.\nBut can this undefined sense of freedom finally carry him toward belonging — freeing him from fold-out couches\, rules\, and limits? \nLet’s also ask from here:\nWhat will become of Yusuf Umut? \nAwards\nSadri Alışık Theatre Awards 2024 / Nominee — Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical\nNew Theatre Magazine Awards 2023 / Winner — Best Solo Performance \n

SUMMARY:EN SEVDİĞİNDEN BAŞLA - Begin With The One You Love
DESCRIPTION:Two young artists — actors\, writers\, directors. They are everything at once.\nThey have almost grown up together; they are bonded\, dependent\, inseparable. \nThey are life partners and creative partners. What is real and what is fiction becomes blurred. \nOne of them creates from within the home\, unable to step outside;\nthe other chases everything with relentless hunger for art.\nA beautiful marriage\, beautiful opportunities… everything looks beautiful. \nBut they are fighting — against life\, against each other\, and mostly against themselves.\nA shared life\, a shared project… everything is shared.\nYet something is missing.\nHow do they reach “better”?\nTogether — or apart? \nBecause\, as the saying goes:\nIf you want something to become better\, kill your darling(s). \nOr perhaps…\nBegin with the one you love.\nKill your darling(s).\nSpend it. Exhaust it.\nLet go of the thing you love most.\nBegin with the one you love.

SUMMARY:Cinderella - The Elders Panto
DESCRIPTION:Oh yes it is — the Church Street Elders are back!\nOh no it isn’t — the same old Cinderella you know! \nOriginally written by Janet Locke\, an 89-year-old member of the Church Street Elders Drama Group\, this brand-new version of Cinderella has been joyfully reimagined through improvisation and play. Part of it is scripted\, part of it is improvised — and anything can still happen! \nExpect laughter\, surprises\, and a few unexpected twists as our community cast of grannies and grandads bring their own spark to this classic British tradition. There’s an old-lady Fairy Godmother trying to remember her spells\, three delightfully outrageous Ugly Sisters\, and a King and Prince with plenty of charm (and a bit too much swagger!). \nThis heartwarming panto celebrates community\, creativity\, and the magic of theatre at any age. So come along\, bring the family\, and cheer\, boo\, and laugh with us — it’s all part of the fun!

SUMMARY:The Great Gatsby - London Theatre
DESCRIPTION:This new\, subversive adaptation of The Great Gatsby retells the Jazz-Age classic from a queer\, feminist perspective. Nick\, a young and ambitious stockbroker\, is befriended by the illusive millionaire\, Jay Gatsby. At first enamoured with the lavish lifestyle of the nouveau-riche\, Nick soon begins to see through the cracks in Gatsby’s façade\, where deception and tragedy lie in wait. \nSet against the glamorous backdrop of New York in the roaring twenties\, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby tells a heart-breaking tale of social stratification\, excess and unfulfilled love that treads the line of dark obsession. \n‘I hope she’ll be a fool – that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world\, a beautiful little fool.’ \nLondon Theatre Cheap Tickets \n

SUMMARY:Boogie on the Bones
DESCRIPTION:In Soviet Moscow\, wearing a yellow tie is an act of rebellion. Dancing to jazz could cost you everything.\nThis is the story of the stilyagi — young people who chose colour over conformity\, music over safety\, and love over ideology. \n“We wanted to live like Americans\, but we created something of our own — something human.” \nMoscow\, 1956. In Stalin’s grey world\, a group of young rebels called stilyagi dare to wear bright clothes and dance to American jazz. Bob\, a medical student\, smuggles Western music by carving grooves into X-ray films — literally “boogie on the bones.” When Komsomol officer Mels falls for the mysterious Polly during a police raid\, he must choose between duty and desire\, safety and self-expression.\nThis electrifying new musical follows Mels’s transformation from loyal party member to passionate jazz musician\, guided by Bob’s darkly comic wisdom and the charismatic Fred\, who carries a devastating secret from his trip to America. As the authorities tighten their grip and friends disappear one by one\, these young dreamers discover that sometimes the only way to stay human under an authoritarian regime is to put on a bright tie and play jazz. \nInspired by real events Boogie on the Bones is a story of love\, music\, and the price of freedom. With echoes of Cabaret and the energy of West Side Story\, this intimate chamber musical asks: what would you risk to be yourself? \nA powerful reminder that in the darkest times\, art becomes rebellion\, and every song is an act of defiance.

SUMMARY:Fringe REvolution
DESCRIPTION:Fringe Revolution:\nOur inaugural conference on the present and future of Fringe Theatre \nSaturday 29 November \n10:10 am – 4:30 pm \nIs Fringe Theatre in trouble? \nWith The Stage reporting on the “uphill struggles” in Edinburgh over the summer\, uncertainty around the future of ACE funding and the recent closure of prominent London venues and festivals\, should we be sounding the alarm? Or is this all a perception problem? London Fringe Theatre Makers are made of strong stuff. We continue to survive and display our art. What are its strengths and current trends? What problems does it face? What are our priorities moving forward? SUMMARY:EFG London Jazz Festival - SUNDAY: Finding Ways + more tba
DESCRIPTION:ONE OFF SUNDAY SPECIAL FOR EFG LONDON JAZZ FESTIVAL Sunday 23 November 8 pm \n\n\nThe CockpitSeb Rochford’s Finding Ways\nMore artists TBA \n\nSeb Rochford’s Finding Ways @sebrochford\nIn 2003\, drummer Sebastian Rochford formed Polar Bear – a contemporary jazz group that\, over the next decade\, helped define a new era in British music. Their sound was bold\, open-hearted\, and influential\, earning two Mercury Prize nominations and widespread acclaim. Since then\, Seb’s distinctive voice has been heard across a broad spectrum of music\, collaborating with artists including Patti Smith\, Damon Albarn\, Grace Jones and Brian Eno. This year\, he returns as a bandleader with Finding Ways\, layering up to three guitars at a time around his drums and bass\, the album featuring ten different guitarists. He’s joined by a remarkable set of collaborators and guests\, including Tara Cunningham\, David Preston\, Simon Tong\, Leo Abrahams\, Matt Hurley\, Adrian Utley\, John Parish\, Seye Adelekan\, Anders Christensen and Ruth Goller – each adding something unmistakably their own\, and it’s this space they’re given to be themselves that defines the sound. This is honest music-making. Nothing is forced. Nothing boxed in. Finding Ways. That’s what Seb is doing—musically\, emotionally\, personally. \n\n‘The Finding Ways music is about Finding Ways to keep positive and navigate the world around us’.\n\n\n\nContemporary and Traditional Jazz Bands are available for Hire via Music for London.

SUMMARY:Continuity - London Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Continuity\, by David Sear \nDirected by Rosina Piovani \nWhat happens when your life is abruptly changed by a tragic accident? \nOne that ruins that life completely? \nAnd if a chance came along to use a revolutionary new cure\, would you take it? \nDo you want to live forever? (Terms & conditions apply). \nIt is 2034\, and a group of billionaires control even more of the world than they do today. They believe they have discovered an invention which could change what it means to be human. They believe they have unlocked the secret of human continuity. And they need patient 7… \nCONTINUITY: A satirical and darkly comic tale about humanity’s yearning for immortality – and what happens when technology and vast wealth manipulate the very essence of what makes us human. In a world where the pace of change is unprecedented and our ability to adapt to that change is struggling to evolve\, Continuity asks the existential question: ‘What is the value of my continued existence? And\, more importantly\, can I get a better phone?’.

SUMMARY:Matilda Rowe presents Creases Live
DESCRIPTION:Matilda Rowe brings together some of London’s best musicians to perform her expansive debut project – Creases – for the first time ever\,  in an immersive\, live launch unlike any other. \nIn the round and in two acts\, central force of the independent music scene\, Matilda Rowe\, will be bringing the audience intimately and boldly into the world she has spent the last five years building. \nCreases is an expansive coming-of-age experience\, capturing pockets of humanity in each of its layers. Full of drama and insightful prescience\, Matilda takes you by the hand – with her honest lyrics and powerful voice – through tumultuous turns and raw catharsis. \nInspired by the likes of Nina Simone\, Amy Winehouse\, Portishead\, Lianne La Havas and Laura Marling\, the project oscillates wildly and deliberately across genres with a storytelling spine and beating heart of Jazz. \nHaving been taught and mentored as a teen by Jazz FM Awards 2025 Vocalist of the Year\, Alice Zawadzki\, Matilda is now known for her poignant lyrics and distinctive sound that blends jazz and indie folk. She has captivated audiences across the UK with her magnetic performances\, poetic lyricism and unpredictable melodies\, and has built a loyal following because of it. \nJust as Creases blurs lines of expectation and genre\, the show will do the same\, pushing the boundaries of what a gig can be in the name of storytelling and communal experience. \nCapturing ‘the live’ was at the heart of her intention when she came to producer\, Gareth Finnegan (Comet is Coming\, Imogen Heap)\, with the demos in December 2023. And so\, almost two years later\, it is only right that we let it take the stage it was born for and witness how it breathes. \nWe look forward to seeing you there. \n  \nMusicians Hire London

SUMMARY:Woo Woolf
DESCRIPTION:This is not a Virginia Woolf bio-play.  Devised by an all migrant ensemble\, Woo Woolf is a playful protest that reaches across time\, culture\, and language to meet Virginia Woolf in mischief and metaphor. Tracing gendered histories\, fleeting memories\, and migrant feelings through bodies\, screens\, and shifting voices\, the piece invites new ways of seeing\, feeling\, and remembering across language and tradition. \nCreated by Ensemble Not Found (ENF)\, a collective of first-generation ESEA artists\, Woo Woolf draws inspiration from Woolf’s diaries and gender philosophy to explore fluid identity through movement\, multilingual text\, and audiovisual performance. Blending everyday conversation with surreal imagery and fragmented theatrical forms\, the work gently unsettles cultural boundaries and fixed narratives. Developed since 2023\, Woo Woolf has been performed at Theatre Deli and Camden People’s Theatre. \n‘This is not your average storytelling. It can be puzzling. And yet\, I can’t stop looking’ – The Play’s The Thing UK\n‘The performance was truly beautiful and sincere. Powerful and soft\, hitting you in the right spot while leaving a smile on your face.” – Audience response

SUMMARY:The Uncontainable Nausea of Alec Baldwin
DESCRIPTION:Alec Baldwin is not a superstar. He is not really famous. He wasn’t born in 1958 and does not have eight children. Alec Baldwin has never had sex with Kim Basinger and never ever shot and killed a woman by mistake.\n\nI am Alec Baldwin. But not THE Alec Baldwin. \nThe Uncontainable Nausea of Alec Baldwin is a highly physical and multidisciplinary piece that navigates the psychological and physical breakdown of Alec Baldwin as he grapples with a pervasive sense of Nausea towards himself and the desensitised digital society he is part of.\n\nFollowing a significant life-altering event that leaves Alec largely isolated\, he becomes obsessively engaged with an AI bot\, finding solace in its unfiltered factual directness. This connection pushes Alec to question humanity’s paradoxical relationship with violence\, war and its moral double standards. Haunted by the consequences of his actions\, Alec embarks on an absurd and visceral quest to confront personal guilt and societal indifference\, while attempting to reconcile his existence with the harsh realities faced by our generation. Will Alec Baldwin break free from his Nausea?

SUMMARY:Mendaki (To Climb)
DESCRIPTION:MENDAKI (formerly Siapa Yang Bawa Melayu Aku Pergi?) is Faizal Abdullah’s unflinching solo performance reclaiming his Muslim-Malay-Singaporean identity from colonial myths\, state narratives and disappearing heritage. Part performance-lecture\, part cultural love letter\, it slices through history\, identity and language with wit\, rage and unexpected tenderness. \nOver the course of an hour\, Faizal shifts between himself and his alter-egos\, inviting you into a world where history is carefully curated\, identity is state-regulated\, and being Muslim-Malay in Singapore can sometimes feel like quiet rebellion. From colonial treaties to National Service\, from void deck weddings to National Day parades\,personal history collides with political inheritance\, and lost narratives are brought to life. \nYou’ll learn\, laugh\, and question what you know about the little red dot that is Singapore. MENDAKI is an urgent act of memory and resistance; a bold stand for language\, belonging and the refusal to disappear. \n2023 Eclipse Award winner.

SUMMARY:XQUENDA
DESCRIPTION:Xquenda is the story of a young indigenous woman from rural Oaxaca\, and her search for justice after the disappearance and murder of her best friend. No one seems to care due to their social and economic conditions. \nHer protest is through her Poems.\nHer weapon is her Words. \nThrough letters written while she’s protesting\, we get to know her life\, her traditions and culture\, the magical realism that is the heart of her town\, and her love and connection with her ancestors and with the nature of the world that surrounds her\, which\, although beautiful\, is not necessarily fair for women. \nXquenda is a word in ancient Zapotec which means “Soul”\, referring to the true self of a person\, and what remains on earth after death. \nAccompanied by live music and recorded tracks with traditional Mexican rhythms\, the piece is performed in English\, Spanish\, and Zapotec languages. \nBased on a true story.

SUMMARY:When the Clarion Came to Call
DESCRIPTION:In this audacious solo performance by artist and somatic traumatologist Stefan Jovanović Kaasa\, myth meets movement in a ritual that resists categorisation and demands to be felt before understood. The clarion\, a winged healer\, emerges from the shadows bearing messages of warning and transformation. \nCombining dance\, physical theatre\, spoken word\, storytelling and song\, When the Clarion Came to Call unfolds in the round across nine archetypal chapters. It channels the cyclical nature of trauma and healing\, tracing the fractured lines between accountability and the possibility of renewal. At its centre is the clarion—a mystical bird-being and symbol of queer resilience—inviting audiences into a shared space of reckoning\, intimacy and the phantasmagorical. \nAlthough fully scripted\, this work is dynamically shaped by the presence of each audience and the collective energy of gathering. Without requiring active participation\, you are invited to engage with your total attention—bringing your full self\, just as you are. The piece blurs the line between theatre and ritual\, myth and memory\, performer and witness. The clarion does not explain. It calls. \nThis Cockpit UK premiere marks the debut of Strange Fictions\, Jovanović Kaasa’s new performance company\, previously known as Studio Stefan Jovanović. Under that name\, his past works include Constellations (Sadler’s Wells\, Lilian Baylis Studio\, 2019) and Drumming in the Hall of the Mountain (Derby Festé\, 2022).

SUMMARY:Knife on The Table - London Theatre
DESCRIPTION:A new Bruntwood-longlisted play about gangs\, love and family\, and communities battling ambition\, poverty and identity. \nFlint is an excluded teen\, a “soldier”\, dealing on the streets of SW London\, but still looking to get back into the good books of childhood sweetheart Book. \nBook is studious\, babysits for Flint’s younger sister\, and is keen to leave her road’s deprivation. She wants to move to the suburbs and avoid Flint\, ending her chances. \nBragg’s a captain\, pressuring Flint to deepen his commitment\, drive higher sales\, and prove his colours. \nShania is a pregnant teen\, a friend to Book\, and a member of Bragg’s crew. How Shania was initiated\, held the food\, and met the dealers is nothing compared to some of what she’s witnessed. Now\, she doesn’t sleep. \nChantal is Flint’s mother. She worries about Flint but isn’t about easily letting Flint’s dad back into his life. \nDanny is a Childline listener\, a former gang member\, a convict\, and Flint’s estranged father. He is on a journey back to his son. But will he find Flint before it’s too late? \nCarol\, outreach and youth worker\, and Danny’s girlfriend. She hears the worst of people’s stories\, including the worst excesses of Shania’s baby’s father. \nAngel\, gangland chief. He’ll initiate all his boys and girls into the tribe\, holding them close with disturbing gratification.\nAngel’s about to invite Flint for tea\, sales training\, and help with a weapons upgrade. \nWhat forces compel Flint\, Book\, Shania and the others towards ever-repeating tragedy? \nThis is a race against time to break the cycle.
