SUMMARY:Barnet Medieval Festival
DESCRIPTION:London and the Home counties’ very own spectacular annual medieval festival\, recreating and commemorating the dramatic C15th Wars of the Roses and the decisive Battle of Barnet\, fought in 1471 between King Edward IV and Warwick the Kingmaker. \nThe festival features 200+ participants\, battle re-enactments\, armoured knights on horseback and foot soldiers\, cannon firing and archery\, entertainments\, music and dance\, living history encampments\, cookery\, craft demonstrations\, medieval market and community stalls\, food and drink\, plus “Meet the Artist” – book signings and an exhibition of medieval paintings by renowned artist and author Graham Turner. A fabulous\, full day out for everybody! \n£3 child (under 3s free)\, £7 adult\, carer accompanying a paying visitor free. Tickets available at the gate or via www.barnetmedievalfestival.org \nParking is limited so please cycle\, walk to the festival or use buses). Nearest tube is High Barnet (28 mins walk).
