SUMMARY:Summer Free Family Drop in Workshops at Sir John Soane's Museum 3&10 Aug 2-4pm
DESCRIPTION:To coincide with our current exhibition\, Architects’ Houses\, these family drop-in workshop will be inspired by designing and building your own dream houses! \nThursday 3rd August\, 2-4pm \nMake Your Own Architect’s house: \nArchitect and collector Sir John Soane was fortunate enough to design and build his very own dream house\, now it’s your turn! Make your own architect’s house with freelance teaching artist Caroline Dorset. \nThursday 10th August\, 2-4pm \nDream Lego Houses: \nTake a look at some of the dream houses designed by different architects. Get inspired to build your own using Lego with freelance teaching artist Sally Crowley. \nBooking Information: \nThese workshops are free to attend and tickets are available to book in advance but you can also simply drop-in on the day as part of your visit to the museum. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities are aimed at children aged 4+yrs but younger siblings are very welcome. \nPlease note this workshop will take place across the road from the Museum in Lincoln’s Inn Fields\, unless it rains\, in which case it will be moved to the Art Room in the basement of no. 14. \nThe stairs down to the Art Room are narrow and not suitable for buggies\, which can be left outside. There is a baby change onsite. If you require wheelchair access\, please get in touch with education@soane.org.uk in advance of your visit and we can arrange this for you
