Bet you have tasted it before. \nFood that are considered to be BLACK food include – Black ice cream flavoured with black sesame or charcoal\, black coffee\, black garlic\, and much more. Black Food Festival plays with some of your favourite dishes\, creatively experimenting with flavour and colour from some of the city’s most innovative and inventive culinary minds. \n​ \nWhat Is “Black” Food?  \nBlack food isn’t just artificially coloured\, regular food. Some of the most sought after ingredients are black: from the finest coffee\, decadent dark chocolate\, luscious black berries\, to traditional balsamic vinegar that has been made for centuries using traditional methods. Our passion here at the Black Food Festival is to discover and share the lesser-known black foods from across the world\, whether that’s boudoin noir\, black macarons\, or black garlic\, and explore a new and unique culinary dimension. \n. \n  \n  \nBLACK Food Festival Awards\nJuried Competition \nThe Black Food Festival was born out of curiosity for international cuisines and the experimental nature of culinary minds across the globe. To pay homage to those who prefer to take the road less travelled: the risk takers\, the innovators\, the trailblazers\, there will be a panel of gastronomy professionals on the look out for the most creative and finest products.
