He recorded three cherished Albums between 1969 and 1972 but was almost entirely unknown in his day. After his tragic death in 1974\, aged only 26\, his music almost disappeared into obscurity. Now\, thanks to a massive resurgence of interest and a worldwide re-evaluation of his genius\, Nick Drake has become a national treasure. \n\n\n\nTwo decades have now passed since Singer/Guitarist Keith James first paralysed the whole Country with his stunningly beautiful series of concerts. He was the first artist ever to bring this intriguingly fragile music to Theatres and Arts Venues across the UK in its pure live concert form. As well as leading his own band\, he also plays piano with The Cadillac Kings (“The U.K.’s finest purveyors of blues & swing” Blues in Britain Magazine)\, who played a sold-out show at The Landmark in July 2023. DESCRIPTION:Brahms Requiem and Rheinberger Mass in E flat for Double Choir \n\n\n\nAcknowledged as one of the great choral works of the Romantic era\, Brahms’s German Requiem was clearly intended as a comfort to the living rather than as a requiem for the souls of the dead. This much-loved masterpiece\, with soloists Philippa Boyle and Peter Lidbetter\, is accompanied tonight by a small orchestra of eight instrumentalists along with piano to create a rich and satisfying texture\, retaining much of the original orchestration. \n\n\n\nUnder the direction of their conductor Christopher Herrick\, Twickenham Choral\, one of London’s foremost choirs\, partner the Requiem with the delicious Romantic choral music of Rheinberger’s Mass in E flat for Double Choir.
