DESCRIPTION:Voices from the Amazon: our stories\, our solutions \nCasa Kayeb was designed by Amazonians to uplift Amazonian voices during the London Action Climate Week (LACW). \nWe have invited Amazonian voices from different parts of the region to talk about their views ahead of COP30\, which will take place in November in Belem. \nIt’s an opportunity for international audiences to listen to the perspectives of those directly impacted by the climate emergency\, who are developing technologies in their territories to postpone the end of the world and protect the future of the Amazon region. \nWe are delivering this event with COP 30 Committee\, a coalition created by Amazonian organisations that aims to expand and strengthen advocacy in local\, national and international climate conferences and forums. It aims to secure greater commitment from governments for the demands of those from\, living\, and working\, in the Amazon territory. \nCome join us at Rich Mix for an inspiring event featuring stories and solutions from the Amazon. Hear firsthand accounts from indigenous communities and environmental activists working to protect this vital ecosystem. Learn about sustainable practices and initiatives making a difference in the region. Connect with like-minded individuals and be part of the conversation on how we can support Amazonian people to protect the forest. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the change! \nRefreshments (coffee and tea) will be provided from 9.30am to 5pm. \nThis event is only possible due to the collaboration of key organisations that believe in our work to uplift the voices of individuals and organisations from the Amazon region.
