DESCRIPTION:It’s more important than ever to celebrate the diversity of the city of London and show that we will always be open. \nYou are invited to City Hall for a day of sharing European language\, food\, art\, and stories. All in honour of celebrating and supporting European Londoners. We’ll also be offering FREE immigration advice on the EU Settlement scheme and discussing the impacts of Brexit. The Scoop next to City Hall becomes a music stage\, with performances from a range of European musicians. There’ll also be human sized table football for the whole family. \nhttps://eventsforlondon.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/EU-Londoners-film.mp4\n  \n  \nHere is a taster of the day’s activities: \nAll Day Drop-In Activities\, 11am-3.30pm\n \nLanguage Café \nThe EU has 23 official languages and we want to gather all of them in one place! Join us at this informal language café to chat\, take part in language games and meet new people. Suitable for all levels\, whether you want to practice your existing language skills or learn some new phrases. \nCommunity Support Space \nGet free legal advice on applying for Settled or Pre-Settled Status by independent immigration advisers. Find out more about support available to you and your family. \n1.15pm- 2pm Presentation and Q&A: ‘Everything You Need to Know About the EU Settlement Scheme’ (free with General Admission ticket) \nA Mile in My Shoes \nVisitors are invited to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes – literally – while listening to stories of EU citizens who’ve made London their home. From Fee\, an 81-year-old German woman who moved to London in 1962\, to Danish student Emilie\, who arrived just a few years ago. \nBadge Making \nWith the help of print studio Rabbits Road Press\, design your own keepsake badges sharing personal stories of family and community. For all ages. \n \nStorytelling Room \nStorytellers Crick Crack Club will be delving into the shared heritage and storytelling culture across Europe in this entertaining drop-in session. \n\n\n \n  \n‘Brexit Talks’ \nMuseum of London curators took to the streets visiting markets\, pubs\, church halls and libraries across London to record Londoner’s responses to the most talked about issue of our time: Brexit. Come and see the responses. \nArt Installation \nSocial activist artist Gil Mualem-Doron will be displaying new textile work based around European flags. \n \nSpecial 1000 Londoners ‘Goodbye Europe’ Screening \nAn anthology of short films about the London lives of people from each of the EU’s 28 nations\, by Chocolate Films. \nEU Settlement Ceremony\, 12-1pm \nThe Mayor\, Sadiq Khan\, will open this celebratory ceremony to personally thank and recognise a group of exceptional European Londoners who are committing to stay in our capital.\nSome on the door tickets may be available on the day. \nPanel Discussion: The impact of Brexit on EU Londoners 2-3pm \nAn expert panel will look at key questions including London’s ties with Europe\, and Brexit’s impact on the lives of European Londoners. \nBroadcaster Leona O Neill will chair the discussion with a Q&A open to the audience.\nSome on the door tickets may be available on the day. \nTHE SCOOP \nOutside City Hall\, the Scoop will host an eclectic range of European music performances.
