DESCRIPTION:Funny Women is the destination to discover\, connect and grow with humour. We show women from all walks of life how to use comedy and humour to build their confidence\, explore their creativity and have a voice. We strongly believe in equal rights and opportunities for all; by empowering female-identifying voices\, we can contribute to gender parity in our industry and beyond. \nFrom our Comedy Crash Course to our Stand Up to Stand Out workshops\, performance is encouraged\, participation is mandatory\, and laughter is absolutely non-negotiable! \nWe’re best known for the Funny Women Awards—an important industry platform for women looking to break into comedy. So far\, over 4\,000 gob-smackingly talented comics have taken part in 17 competitions\, and our alumni include\, Sarah Millican\, Zoe Lyons\, Sarah Pasco\, Katherine Ryan\, London Hughes\, Desiree Burch\, Kerry Godliman\, Rachel Parris. \nThere are many ways to get involved with us\, take part in our interactive workshops; enter our awards; join our Patreon; connect with our Facebook group\, or work with our sister company: HERlarious. \nWhatever your goal—we aim to provide a positive and inclusive experience for all.
