SUMMARY:World-Class Classical Music for Curious Young Ears
DESCRIPTION:A concert for families\, part of Highgate International Chamber Music Festival 2026 \nEvery winter\, the Highgate International Chamber Music Festival brings together internationally acclaimed musicians for a celebration of chamber music in the atmospheric setting of St Anne’s Church\, near Hampstead Heath. \nThis year\, the festival presents a special hour-long Family Concert\, offering children and their grown-ups the chance to experience the excitement of a world-class music festival at close quarters. \nLed by presenter Maria Thomas\, you can expect vibrant virtuosity\, romping rhythms and marvellous melodies from Schumann\, Mozart and other famous composers\, interspersed with anecdotes and lively introductions. \nWith featured artists including violinist Alina Ibragimova (“phenomenal”\, The Guardian)\, percussionist Bernhard Schimpelsberger (“one of the most technically gifted players we have seen in a long time”\, Drummer Magazine) and Royal Opera House Principal Clarinet Matt Glendening\, this is a rare chance for your little ones to be wowed by some of today’s greatest classical musicians\, in a relaxed and inclusive setting. \nChildren are welcome to move around and make noise and there will be the chance to see instruments up close and ask questions. Suitable for all ages – and under-2s go free! \nBook Classical Muscians for Recitals in London.
