During the residency\, the selected artists immerse themselves in a rigorous programme of creative exploration\, professional development\, and entrepreneurial growth.\n\nParticipants receive mentorship from BirdGang Ltd’s award-winning Movement Architects and Directors\, alongside guidance from specialists in movement\, sound\, lighting\, set design\, and business development coaching. This holistic approach enables each choreographer to deepen their craft\, refine their artistic identity\, and develop the tools needed to shape the future and legacy of their work.\n\nThe HATCHWORK programme reflects BirdGang Ltd’s commitment to fostering innovation across hip hop theatre and multidisciplinary art forms. Since its inception\, HATCHWORK has become a vital launchpad for early-career artists\, supporting the development of groundbreaking work that contributes to the ever-evolving landscape of hip hop theatre and the wider performing arts.\n\nThe public showcase\, representing the culmination of this intensive 360-degree residency\, takes place at Stanley Arts on Saturday\, 28th February 2026 at 4pm. With limited capacity\, audiences are encouraged to secure tickets early for this one-evening-only event.
