SUMMARY:Walk The Bard - London Theatre
DESCRIPTION:This August\, audiences are invited to step inside Shakespeare’s world at one of England’s most remarkable historic venues. \nFrom 29–31 August\, Walk the Bard will transform the hidden gardens of London’s Middle Temple into a live\, immersive theatrical adventure\, bringing together six curated scenes from Shakespeare’s most treasured plays\, set across the decades\, all exploring love\, laughter and heartbreak. \nCreated especially for this extraordinary setting\, Walk the Bard takes audiences on a captivating stroll through the beautiful Elm Court Garden. Led by a playful Elizabethan fool\, reimagined for the modern day\, visitors move through the gardens as the stories unfold around them in a theatrical experience unlike any other in London. \nWearing immersive audio headsets\, audiences are drawn into every whispered secret and every sound\, from the joyful bustle of a summer wedding to the gentle chirping of Tuscan crickets\, as though they are part of the story themselves. \nPerformed by an exceptional cast of emerging actors\, Walk the Bard offers an intimate and contemporary interpretation of Shakespeare\, alongside the unique opportunity to experience theatre at the very site where Twelfth Night is thought to have been first performed. \nThere are five daily performances starting at 1200\, 1400\, 1600\, 1800 and 2000. Tickets\, priced at £39.50\, include a welcome glass of sparkling wine\, wine\, beer or soft drink in Fountain Court and an exclusive tour\, guided by Middle Temple’s Master Treasurer\, KC\, of the iconic Great Hall\, with its famous 16th-century double hammer beam roof and legendary 9-metre oak table\, possibly a gift from Queen Elizabeth I. \n  \nGreat Hall tours begin at 1315\, 1515\, 1715 and 1915. If you have tickets for a 2000 Walk the Bard performance\, please join the 1915 tour of the hall. \nEntrances via Fleet Street and Tudor Street. \nSuitable for ages 12 and above \nWe request wheelchair users attending make themselves known to the box office at least 20 minutes before the performance is due to begin. \nCustomers who arrive late for a performance may not be admitted until a suitable break. If it is not possible to admit a latecomer for any reason\, no refunds will be offered.\n \nWe regret that we are unable to offer any refunds. Upon request\, we will transfer your tickets to another performance up to 72hrs in advance\, subject to availability. \nIn the event of adverse weather conditions\, we will endeavour to rearrange any affected performance or make alternative arrangements. \n\n\nConcession Information\nStudents\, +65s (ID required)
