DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a fantastic celebration this May half term! \nThis year is extra special\, marking both our 74th birthday and 20 years since the Heap family transformed our zoo into the conservation haven it is today. Join us to reflect on our journey and look forward to a future dedicated to wildlife conservation and amazing animals! \nNot only are we celebrating our 74th birthday this year\, but May half term marks an incredible 20 years since the zoo was rescued from closure by the Heap family\, and reopened as the conservation zoo we know and love today. \nJoin us this May half term to celebrate with us! Discover our past and be a part of our future! \nThe hive cabin will be transformed into an exhibition\, commemorating our achievements over the year\, with a special film exploring our zoo and the experiences of our staff\, both past and present\, free to view all day! \nAlongside a jam-packed schedule of extra special keeper talks throughout the day\, you can enjoy FREE activities on each day of half term! \nMorning\n11:00pm: Asian Short-Clawed Otter\n11:30am: Donkey and pony meet and greet\n12:00pm: Ring-Tailed Lemur \nAfternoon\n2:00pm: The history of BPCZ talk at the Hive cabin.\n2:30pm: Asian Short-Clawed Otter\n3:00pm: Monkey tea time! Help our zookeepers prepare our monkey enrichment and watch the Brown Capuchins enjoy their treats! \nStreet party vibes with bunting all across the zoo\, and a free trail for visitors to learn more about our animals and their conservation. \nWe will also be running our first ever prize giveaway – a “ZOO-tastic Treasure Hunt” where once per day throughout half term a golden envelope containing a super special prize will be hidden around the zoo. A clue will be posted to the zoo’s Instagram story each morning. Find the golden envelope to find a hidden prize inside – from animal experiences and adoption packs\, to family tickets and more!
