SUMMARY:A Very Difficult Person (W.I.P.)
DESCRIPTION:Are you afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? You should be. \nStoryteller Rhys Williamson brings A Very Difficult Person to SPRINT Festival 2026\, reshaping a real roofing scam into a dark and uncanny modern fairytale. \nWhen the Big Bad Wolf knocks at his door\, Rhys lets him in\, sits him at the dining room table and is shocked when the wolf tries to gobble him up. A small repair twists into unease\, mistrust and the cold realisation that your home may no longer be yours. \nBold\, eerie and unexpectedly moving\, A Very Difficult Person invites audiences into a lived experience that is as absurd as it is frightening. At its heart lies one question: \nWhat would you do to protect your home?

SUMMARY:Mountains Have Rules For A Reason
DESCRIPTION:A brand new horror play set to make it’s debute in London and Edinburgh\, which explored the dark fables from within the Appalachian mountains and applies them to a brand new story. \nThe Appalachian Mountains have rules for a reason\, but what happens when those rules are broken? \nWhen Christina’s grandfather retired he moved to the mountains in search of monsters\, now he has passed he’s left her a cabin in the woods to clear up\, a series of scribbled journals and a set of oddly specific rules. When friendships are questioned\, rules are broken and fable becomes all the more real and horrifying in this brand new horror play.

SUMMARY:Murdering the Devil + intro by Markéta Uhlířová\, Director of Fashion in Film Festival
DESCRIPTION:An eccentric gem from a regular contributor to the most acclaimed films of the Czech New Wave of the 1960s\, including Věra Chytilová’s Daisies. \n\nA woman meets an old friend some years after their last encounter and cooks a feast for him. Despite a few hellish surprises\, she hopes he will marry her. Ester Krumbachová’s sole directorial effort brilliantly combines her numerous talents\, which include costume and set design. Considered too anarchic and subversive at the time\, the film deconstructs patriarchal structures and satirises conventional female roles\, even bringing in a touch of occultism. We can now appreciate it for the quirky delight that it is. \nDirector Ester Krumbachová\, Czechoslovakia 1970. 75min\, Digital 4K (restoration)\, English subtitles\nWith Jirina Bohdalová\, Vladimír Mensík\, Ljuba Hermanová \nRestoration carried out by Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in collaboration with the Národní filmový archiv\, Prague and the Czech Film Fund in UPP and Soundsquare\, funded by Mrs Milada Kučerová and Mr Eduard Kučera. \nIn collaboration with BFI. \nAdmission Link: \nhttps://whatson.bfi.org.uk/Online/default.asp?BOparam::WScontent::loadArticle::permalink=murdering-the-devil-intro&BOparam::WScontent::loadArticle::context_id

SUMMARY:The Luminous
DESCRIPTION:Part Victorian thriller\, part contemporary tale of friendship and rebellion\, this time-travelling\, genre-busting new show combines RedCape Theatre’s unique blend of physical theatre\, dark comedy and gripping storytelling. \nAs protestors gather outside the hospital where they work\, three women meet up for a monthly book club. This month’s book is ‘Luminous’ – a dark delve into Victorian London\, where lurid stories are brought to life for entertainment in the penny gaff theatres: tales of an anonymous killer haunting the city and women whose bones glow through their skin. \nIn the twenty-first century living room\, the wine is flowing and the discussion is getting heated. Mighty thinks the book is outrageous\, Mags thinks it’s the best thing she’s ever read\, and Alice hasn’t got past page three. As the women get drawn deeper into the story\, memories surface\, unexpected connections are made\, and the worlds begin to blur.  Age Guidance: 14+ years \nContent warning: \nAge Guidance: 14+ years.  This production explores sensitive themes of violence against women (physical and sexual)\, abortion\, illness and grief\, and includes scenes that some audience members may find upsetting. It contains references to childbirth\, self-immolation and nuclear warfare. It also contains strong language\, ableist and misogynistic language and an abstract depiction of an autopsy. \n
