DESCRIPTION:Our third collaboration with the saxophone virtuoso and composer \n\n\n\nLondon Sinfonietta is reunited with “marvel” Norwegian saxophone virtuoso and composer Marius Neset to perform their “elemental” third collaboration\, Geyser. DESCRIPTION:The Music for Youth Proms are back for a two-day musical extravaganza. Two special evening concerts will bring 3\,000 young musicians from across the country back together for a spectacular concert like no other: full-scale symphony orchestras are showcased alongside some of the best young jazz bands\, chamber groups\, bands and singer-songwriters from across the UK; and a unique specially produced Massed Ensemble of over 400 musicians. \nThe Proms will feature a collaborative project for up to 2\,000 young people led by Music for Youth Music Mentor\, Adey Grummet and composed by celebrated musical director and composer Michael Henry\, with performances to support and encourage young musicians and music educators. There will be surprise guests and presenters and young people taking part in technical and backstage roles. \nThis is a not-to-be-missed musical celebration for anyone that loves music.

Recommended by Classic FM\, Gramaphone Magazine\, and BBC Radio 3. \n\n\n\nThe Jess Gillam ensemble performs music from their chart-topping album TIME\, featuring a small ensemble made up of incredible musicians from a wide range of musical backgrounds\, all with roots in classical music. \n\n\n\nThe album’s music is inspired by minimalism\, featuring some of the movement’s groundbreaking composers alongside shorter tracks from pioneering and genre-breaking artists\, including brand new commissions. \n\n\n\nThe concert is part of through the noise‘s noisenights series: informal crowdfunded events featuring international soloists in cabaret bars\, converted warehouses\, and nightclubs. \n\n\n\nEach noisenight features two short classical sets\, one early evening\, one late. All tickets to the late set include live music for the rest of the night\, including jazz\, latin\, afrobeat\, swing and funk acts.
