Last year\, they released ‘Musical Chairs’\, building on 2024’s ‘Hopscotch Fever’\, an album of ten existential post-punk chamber pop tracks. Recorded at Lambda Research and the haunted attic of the band’s house\, the core trio of Angie Willcutt\, Micah Wu\, and Cole Gilfilen have traded the sparse jangle of their debut for a broader\, fuller sound. ‘Musical Chairs’ deftly meshes the angular excitability of ‘Hopscotch Fever’ with a spectral warmth and expensiveness able to encompass acoustic guitars\, Wu’s almost metaphysical funk bass lines\, tape loops and blips and bleeps\, a guest spot by Eric Dietrich (of The Drin and Sorry Eric) on saxophone\, and Gilfilen’s hip moving boom-bap drumming add to the excitement. \nIn Willcutt’s hands\, the struggles\, and at times terrors\, of our current age are playfully subverted with agile world play and dynamic vocalization that moves from sweet and dreamy to cartoonishly exaggerated as she charts an emotional course through such topics as the difficulties of playing the role of “woman” in a misogynist world (“Playing Puppet”) or the injustice of anthropocentric hierarchy (“Tightrope Walker”). Musical Chairs is serious music not meant to be taken too seriously\, a playful act of resistance\, a meditation on the good and bad of this world\, and ultimately a remarkable statement on the continuing growth of Artificial Go. \nhttps://artificialgo.bandcamp.com/ \nNO PEELING was formed in 2025 as a studio project by five friends in the fertile Nottingham DIY underground. September 2025’s self-titled EP was the perfect introduction to the No Peeling universe. Bandcamp Daily picked it as an Essential Release\, calling it “a clanging collection of get-in-get-out egg punk that doesn’t ask for more than 10 minutes of your time and overdelivers on every front”. It managed to cram a lifetime of idea-nuggets into seven songs that rarely exceeded the minute mark. A blast of enthusiasm and hyperactivity\, the EP was the audio equivalent of a barrage firework: exhilarating and energising. Whilst the first EP was completed before the band had played live; the forthcoming EP2 hits a little differently. \nEP2 has the garage punk clatter and sparkly efficiency of their debut but is somehow faster and weirder. The guitar and synth seem to be engaged in a constant (playful) fight\, tumbling further and further away from the song structure being held together (and propelled) by one of the tightest rhythm sections around. The scrawl and skronk might occasionally recall No Wave but those grooves are locked down. This all provides the perfect foundation for the wry\, dry observations of Sophie Diver. DESCRIPTION:We are hosting 6 kpop shows in London and Brighton\, which’ll be the first kpop showcase in a series called ‘KTAM Unleashed.’ These shows are designed to create unique intimate experiences with kpop artists. The shows will be in intimate venues\, and each ticket holder will be able to attend a fan-sign and Polaroid event after the shows\, where they can meet the artists and take photos and get their signatures. We are also offering VIP add-on packages for the dedicated kpop fans. These experiences are aimed to be affordable and unforgettable\, bringing real kpop VIP experiences to the UK\, which has never been done before in this capacity. \nWe have 5 Korean artists spanned over the 6 shows\, who will all be bringing hypnotic performances of different kinds to the UK for the first time. We have a ballad duo called Studio L\, a dance kpop group called N TOP and a dance kpop group called Daychild\, a kpop/krock soloist who has a unique charismatic voice and dance style\, and our special guest and MC for the shows\, Jinu\, who also has a special performance for the UK audience with his awe-inspiring power vocals. We are aimed for all ages\, there are some venues where the age limit is 8+ meaning kpop demon hunters enthusiasts (and parents) can join in on the fun too!! DESCRIPTION:Unconventional opera company Gothic Opera returns to Battersea Arts Centre this Halloween\, this time with the UK staged premiere of Die Rheinnixen (The Nixies of the Rhine)\, an unjustly neglected\, Romantic work by Jacques Offenbach. \nDie Rheinnixen\, which is Offenbach’s first take on grand opera\, encompasses the growing nationalism of its time\, as well as the genre’s fascination with the supernatural. Gothic Opera is delighted to be staging this horror story for the first time in the UK. \nIn the capable hands of the award-winning international stage director Max Hoehn\, the evocative crumbling architecture of Battersea Arts Centre’s Grand Hall will be transformed into the time of the Weimar Republic\, a period of nationalism and unease. \nIn a bold production that will speak to our current times\, Gothic Opera will be joined by exciting conductor Hannah von Wiehler\, who has a very busy career across Europe. Leon Haxby\, the young composer whose previous work for the company was praised in Opera magazine for its “haunting magic” and “compassionate insight\,” has created a new chamber orchestration of the opera for seven instruments. DESCRIPTION:Urvashi is an independent London-based collective\, formed in January 2023. Inspired by the band’s shared love for traditional and modern music\, they draw equally from Indian Qawwali\, Arabic Tarab\, modal jazz and hard rock. \nTheir tracks layer both original melodies and fresh interpretations of traditional songs\, over grooves reimagined from different musical backgrounds\, combined with extensive improvisation. \nIn recent months\, Urvashi has been undertaking significant artistic development\, investigating how their love of modal jazz and devotional music traditions can engage with UK rave culture\, specifically drum and bass and techno. Drawing inspiration from artists who bridge electronic and jazz traditions\, the collective is developing an entirely new performance practice that translates electronic dance music into improvisation-led formats.

DESCRIPTION:The Maydan Ensemble traverses international bounds and genres\, creating an inclusive and irresistible sound that blends modern jazz with Arabic\, Anatolian and Persian folk music.\nThe Maydan Ensemble of the North London Jazz Collective is a fully international quintet comprising some of London’s busiest jazz musicians: the rising-star vocalist Amena from Egypt\, acclaimed Irish-Iranian jazz guitarist Kourosh Kanani\, ⁠Italian-English bassist and stalwart of the London jazz scene Lorenzo Morabito\, Londoner Robbie Ellison on drums and one the finest Iranian folk musicians in London\, Parham Bahadoran on reeds (zurna\, duduk and clarinet). \n‘Maydan’ means ‘town square’ or ‘public meeting place’. Originating in Farsi\, the word is now used across Arabic\, Turkish\, Urdu\, Kurdish\, Georgian and Ukrainian. DESCRIPTION:Martin Hayes is regarded as one of the most significant talents to emerge in the world of Irish traditional music\, having founded the seminal Irish-American supergroup\, The Gloaming. The concept of Common Ground Ensemble\, his latest project\, emerged gradually in recent years while producing and curating concerts for various festivals\, often bringing together fresh collaborations and forming special ensembles for these events. \nMartin aimed to create an ensemble of musicians from different backgrounds who also have connections to Irish music – the common ground of their name. The line-up to compliment Martin on fiddle includes Cormac McCarthy (piano\, ‘Cottage Evolution’)\, Kate Ellis (cello\, Artistic Director of Crash Ensemble)\, Kyle Sanna (guitar\, a collaborator with Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile) and Brian Donnellan (bouzouki/harmonium/concertina\, and\, like Hayes\, an alumnus of The Tulla Céilí Band). \nCollectively\, they possess a wealth of talent spanning the worlds of traditional Irish music\, cutting-edge contemporary classical\, jazz improvisation and experimental music. In The Common Ground Ensembl\,e all of these genres are interwoven with the core elements of the tradition in a way that also gives each musician’s remarkable talents the space to shine. \nAfter sold-out shows at the Barbican\, EartH\, and Union Chapel\, Martin and the ensemble reunite for a one-off UK show to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in London.
