DESCRIPTION:The Music for Youth Proms are back for a two-day musical extravaganza. Two special evening concerts will bring 3\,000 young musicians from across the country back together for a spectacular concert like no other: full-scale symphony orchestras are showcased alongside some of the best young jazz bands\, chamber groups\, bands and singer-songwriters from across the UK; and a unique specially produced Massed Ensemble of over 400 musicians. \nThe Proms will feature a collaborative project for up to 2\,000 young people led by Music for Youth Music Mentor\, Adey Grummet and composed by celebrated musical director and composer Michael Henry\, with performances to support and encourage young musicians and music educators. There will be surprise guests and presenters and young people taking part in technical and backstage roles. \nThis is a not-to-be-missed musical celebration for anyone that loves music.

SUMMARY:Looking Bach: 300 Years Since the Well-Tuned Keyboard
DESCRIPTION:To finish 2022 with a celebration\, Vache Baroque is taking over the wonderful Conway Hall in London! World-class pianists\, a harpsichord\, an organ\, a jazz trio\, two vocal consorts\, surround-sound electronics\, two rooms full of art related installations\, a photo booth…! This exciting collection of musicians and artists will showcase two timeless collections by Johann Sebastian Bach compiled around 300 years ago: his ‘Well-Tempered Clavier’ Book 1\, which has rightly gone down in history as a benchmark for keyboard composition\, exhibiting pieces in all possible keys; and a scrapbook-style collection of pieces for keyboard and voices compiled in 1725 with his soprano wife Anna Magdalena. \nThis really is an evening for everyone to enjoy\, where we will showcase Bach’s genius and craft from some unexpected angles. Our main players – Libby Burgess (piano) and David Gordon (harpsichord and jazz piano) – will give short talks\, explanations\, and demonstrations over the course of the main event to make sure nobody feels out of the loop\, and with the installations and art pieces beforehand Bach-the-composer will truly be brought to life. \nAfter the performance\, our jazz musicians will carry on the party so you can relax into some socialising over drinks and food\, just like Bach and his family were experts at doing!

Using looped and layered clarinet\, vocals\, samples\, keys & percussion\, Tara Clerkin Trio tend to spin you into spacy beguile. They are inspired by and borrow from jazz\, trip hop\, electronica\, psychedelia & minimalism\, twirling the non-pretentious strands of these threads together into a trippy green winged-cloak\, adorning Arthur Russell and dripping in blue jam. Their self titled debut LP was released in 2020 and was a sleeper hit\, coming in at 35 in the Wire’s top 100 albums of the year and in Bleeps top 10. Machatý\, together with cinematographer Václav Vích and avant-garde set designer Alexander Hackenschmied (a.k.a. Sasha Hammid) transformed a simple story into a work of compelling effect\, creating an arresting visual style and cinematic language full of poetic details that offered a provocative view of the inner world of the characters while creating a benchmark in the development of erotic photography. This 1993 restoration includes previously censored footage. \nThe event is part of the 26th Made in Prague Festival organized by Czech Centre London.

Because fundamentally\, Chenaux writes love songs\, which he sings in a voice honeyed and clear\, while his guitar gently bends\, frazzes\, chortles\, diverges and decomposes. This juxtaposition of his mellow\, dexterous crooning and his highly experimental (and equally dexterous) guitar explorations\, explodes even unconventional notions of singing and accompaniment\, of tonal and timbral interplay between guitar and voice. \nConstellation has been home to Eric’s “solo” records since 2006 – a brilliant discography of adventurous\, sumptuous\, mostly languorous deconstructed folk\, jazz and pop-influenced balladry rooted in the juxtaposition of Chenaux’s fried guitar playing and his gorgeously clear and lyrical singing voice. DESCRIPTION:Coors\, the World’s most refreshing beer\, and Mixmag\, the market-leading dance music media brand\, have today announced that legendary DJ\, Carl Cox\, will be headlining its biggest ever\, end-of-year event\, Coors Presents Mixmag Live at E1. The digitally immersive rave experience will also play host to modern-day kings of the underground\, Solardo\, and Amnesia resident\, Manda Moor\, with some of the freshest DJ talent currently on the dance scene still to be announced. \nThe event falls on the 30-year anniversary of Cox’s ground-breaking Mixmag Live tape in 1992\,  which was heralded as a fresh new way of taking dance culture to the mainstream and changed the world of dance music. 30 years on\, Coors and Mixmag are bringing together the biggest names in dance music\, along with the freshest DJ talent to celebrate how rave culture has evolved over the years. \nAlso confirmed to perform are Mancunian production duo\, Solardo\, who are known for their incredible sound intersection of Techno and House and have just completed their sold-out UK tour. Manda Moor is also confirmed to join the line-up\, bringing her incredible tech and groove-inspired music to the floor. \nThe immersive club night\, which is set to celebrate the evolution of dance music culture alongside some specially curated visuals\, will take place at E1 on Saturday 17th December. A mixtape of the event will also be streamed across social for a truly digital experience. \nWith just 1600 tickets available for the event\, the performances are set to be memorable and hosted across two intimate rooms at E1 – the Warehouse and Peak Room. \nThe Warehouse will see Carl Cox bring his magic to the stage alongside some fresh\, electric-pop beats from the mighty Solardo\, and some sun-drenched rhythm from Manda Moor\, with dance music enthusiasts also getting to experience the freshest up and coming DJs from around the UK in the Peak Room\, with names still to be announced. \nCoors\, which has been collaborating with Mixmag on its iconic club nights for over ten years\, will be keeping the night fresh\, by providing ice cold Coors.
