SUMMARY:Brigitte Beraha's Lucid Dreamers\, Bridget Walsh + Bea Asurmendi
DESCRIPTION:Part of Jazz In The Round: February\, this triple bill showcases Brigitte Beraha’s Lucid Dreamers alongside sets by Bridget Walsh (solo) and Bea Asurmendi [EMERGENCE]. Beraha’s quartet – with George Crowley (tenor sax and bass clarinet)\, Alcyona Mick (piano and keys)\, and Tim Giles (drums) – blends jazz\, folk\, contemporary classical and free improvisation with electronics\, as heard on their albums “Lucid Dreamers” and “Blink and you’ll miss it.” \nNew Zealand‑born singer and producer Bridget Walsh draws on influences from soul\, folk\, gospel and electronic jazz; her feel‑good show features songs from her debut EP and forthcoming album. Basque‑born\, London‑based Bea Asurmendi fuses jazz with Basque and Iberian folk roots and performs original material from her acclaimed debut album “Asteartea”. \nThis Jazz In The Round evening celebrates boundary‑pushing music and emerging voices. Takes place on Monday 23 February at 8 pm at The Cockpit. Standard Jam tickets £15 (including booking fee); students and MU members half price. High Note and Cool Cat ticket tiers are also available. Suitable for all music lovers.
