SUMMARY:World Zombie Day
DESCRIPTION:Dive into the spirit of Halloween with World Zombie Day. Apart from terrifying those around\, London World Zombie Day has been doing charities that have helped others. \nThis is the final bang for London World Zombie Day. Therefore\, all lost lost zombies as well as new zombies shall gather to shamble through Central London\, dressed up in your zombie finest\, to meet at the secret location. Think of it like one last “hurrah!” before hammering  the final nails into the coffins and snuggle down for a long\, long sleep. \nThis year World Zombie day hopes to raise charity for prevention of hunger and homelessness. The money goes towards charities that work on alleviating these issues. The charity of choice this year is City Harvest – giving food another life. City Harvest has a simple mission: Rapidly rescue surplus food and use it to feed those who need it most. Be part of the team making London first to be a zero-waste city. \nRegister HERE to attend World Zombie Day: London. We will contact you with information about how you can prepare for the day\, help fundraise\, and most importantly: where to go on the day! \n2017 video: \n \nThe event is free\, but please show your support by adding on a donation when you register (suggested amount: £5). This will help cover minimal admin cost and the rest will go towards the charity. The walk is a family-friendly event. Under 18’s requires parental supervision. \nYou can only register for two spaces\, but it’s free…. so if your friends want to go\, just send them here. If they register themselves\, they’ll be sure to get the event details in their email\, saving you the bother of having to tell them where to meet you. *You do not need to register your zom-children or zom-dogs. \n \nSome things to remember:\nPut on a good show! Stay in character but don’t get carried away. You are responsible for your own safety and  good conduct. \n1. Use the “haunted house” rule in that you are not to touch anyone. \n2. Use your best judgement when it comes to planning your outfit. Please do not bring weapons (fake\, fantasy\, and definitely not real). As you’ll be on your feet and outdoors for most of the day\, take this into consideration. And be creative! \n3. Do not attempt to scare anyone who is not a willing participant. If anyone is freaking out\, turn and shamble in the opposite direction. Avoid confrontations! \n4. If your walk is anywhere near streets or roadways\, stay on the pavement unless crossing the street. When crossing\, it’s OK to “break character” and cross quickly. Think fast “New Dawn of the Dead” zombies verses the slower “Old Dawn of the Dead” zombies when crossing the street. Blocking traffic is a crime and anyone doing so could be arrested. \n5. STRICTLY NO ILLEGAL DRUGS are permitted and no alcohol for under 18’s. Police will be called if this rule is broken. \n6. No littering\, destruction of property\, or any other illegal activity. This includes smearing fake blood\, banging on windows\, etc. The organisers will not be held responsible for any damaged property. Pretend the location of the walk is your own neighbourhood and show the utmost respect. This event is a tradition\, so we don’t want to ruin it. Remember\, the press will be watching (along with the police) and this event could get world-wide news coverage. Let’s put on a good show. \n7. Keep in mind you might be asked for a picture ID at the pubs and your zombie face might not match your picture ID. If you are refused entry\, please understand the doorman is only doing his job. \n8. Please do not attempt to push your way into any business if you are not welcome. \nCan you dig it? \n  \nSo dress Up and let’s get your scare on!

Starting with a riverbank walk to gather materials and inspiration\, you’ll journey back to the Museum of London Docklands to design a unique mobile intended as a planter/hanging basket using your finds and provided materials. Seeds will also be supplied to sow in your new mobile as a reminder of the river as you continue to watch them grow at home. \n\n\n\nWorkshop suitable for adults.Image courtesy of Camilla Brendon.

SUMMARY:CityDays Live London
DESCRIPTION:For the first time\, CityDays is opening up one of their large-scale free-roam games to the public. Players will receive a digital map of London dotted with challenges that can only be solved on the day and from the city streets. \n\n\n\nOn Sunday 25th June 23\, teams will gather at Piccadilly Circus ready for a 2-hour race across the city. At 3 pm\, teams will set off en masse to complete as many challenges as possible and make it to the finish zone before time runs out. Here\, grab a snack or drink and share your experience with competing teams. A mystery prize will be gifted to the team that tops the leaderboard. \n\n\n\nExpect confounding riddles\, bizarre architecture\, historic sculptures\, silly photo challenges and some of the city’s best and most surprising hidden gems. The game will be hosted on our app but will take place in real-life streets\, squares\, parks and passageways. \n\n\n\nTeams should be made up of 2-5 people. Children can accompany adults free of charge. The game is fun for both locals and visitors alike. Hints are available to help with tricky clues but beware. These come at a point cost. The champions will likely avoid them. Or maybe they won’t. Savvy use could lead to a higher score… \n\n\n\nReady for a one-off multiplayer escape game experience through the streets of London? Book your place today\, download the app and get strategising. \n\n\n\nOnly one team can win. Will it be yours?
