DESCRIPTION:The Grantham Art exhibition presents a dynamic show of newly commissioned artworks by young and emerging art students\, and the Grantham Institute’s Artist in Residence Áinne Burke\, who have collaborated with Imperial College London’s top climate and environmental researchers.  \nThe exhibition is free to attend and no registration is required. \nOpening times: \nMon – Fri: 9:30 – 17:00 \nSat\, Sun and bank holidays: 11:00 – 17:00 \nPlease note\, Monday 26 August is a bank holiday. \nGrantham Art Prize:\nThe Grantham Art Prize was launched by Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art to create collaborations between up-and-coming artists and Imperial’s world-renowned climate and environmental researchers. \nSix emerging artists were chosen by a panel of established artists\, critics and scientists to receive the prize\, and were commissioned to create artworks that would create conversations about the urgent issue of climate change. \nThe Earth And Me:\nThe project Áinne Burke is developing with the Institute\, TEAM (The Earth And Me)\, brings a visual message to an international audience. Using the chemistry of the periodic table (humans being 62 of these\, all constantly interacting with the molecules of the air\, earth and water)\, Ainne hopes to convey that as individuals\, we all have a relationship to the earth\, and she hopes to raise awareness of how we can better look after it. \n#GranthamArtPrize\n@Grantham_IC

DESCRIPTION:Small Green Shoots and Urban Partners are once again hosting a series of live music events called UPshoots sessions throughout August and September 2019 in Pancras Square\, Kings Cross\, London. \nUPshoots will “expose new music to new audiences” supporting some extremely talented emerging artists and musicians. We have hosted two previous series in the past with the likes of Mullally and Etta Bond featuring. \nSmall Green Shoots is a unique creative consultancy based in Kings Cross\, we actively work with young people to enhance their talents and push them forward in the music industry- we aim to give artists a voice. Our “Shoots” have researched and sourced the artists\, led on the promotional material and will be running the series of events.

There will be 80 emerging and established artists on display\, both new to our fair as well as previous artists showing their new work. Over our 4 day event\, we continue our focus on accessibility by keeping Roy’s Art Fair entrance FREE for all. \nRoy’s Art Fair wants to support the recovery of London’s cultural sector\, the creative arts and our artists. \nThe safety of both exhibitors and the public are our main priority at the 6th Roy’s Art Fair\, which we will be going above and beyond to ensure. With the unfortunate cancellation of International art fairs\, due to travel restrictions for international clientele\, Roy’s will aim to deliver an exciting and safe UK Art Fair. \nThe team at Roy’s Art Fair are all artists in their own right and offer their invaluable expertise and support to both emerging and established artists as they navigate the art world. Their focus is primarily on developing a community led spirit initiated by artists to connect directly with the public and promote both the artists’ and buyers’ interests first. \nWhat sets us aside from the host of other art fairs now popping up around London is our comfortable yet energetic atmosphere that allows visitors to connect with artists and invest in artwork they love. DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS\, THE EXHIBITION MIRRORS THE PRESENT STATE OF THE WORLD BY TAKING PLACE ONLINE AT FIRST\, CONNECTING US THROUGH TECHNOLOGY\, AND EMERGING IN A PHYSICAL SPACE IN LONDON IN THE SPRING OF 2021. \nThe year 2021 might seem like the promise of a new beginning\, but will the mere addition of a number make our lives any better? The emotions we experienced last year and our collective yearning for change throughout the pandemic have become integral parts of who we are. It seems that what has emerged from multiple lockdowns and widespread isolation\, is a globally shared experience of solitude. \nThis unexpected commonality\, a collective cluster of emotions\, is resonating even in the virtual space. Though physically separated\, we are still here\, and art remains one of the fundamental ways we can investigate our inner states and relate to each other. During his residency\, Guglielmo created a large composition to emphasise a collective consciousness through portraits. These stories of the land create a space for an eerie presence of the spectral past to become momentarily accessible. This Is The Land could not be more relevant to the issues of our times – ecological crisis\, social inequality\, and political repression of dissenting voices – whilst raising these in a highly original way.

DESCRIPTION:Where does the line between self-care and egotism lie in relationships? An intimate semi-autobiographical performance highlighting the effects of unaddressed mental health in relationships\, told through the lens of deconstructed\, fragmented memories. \n\n\n\nA non-linear investigation of the complexities and nuances of relationships and the moral boundaries we set: highlighting the different dynamics in LGBTQIA+ relationships while exploring what makes love (and the suffering it causes) a universal experience. \n\n\n\n“Grey Area” takes its space on stage earnestly and honestly in response to two contemporary issues: homobitransphobia and ableism. How can a journey of queer love be completely redefined by pain and understanding?
