DESCRIPTION:Join HARAYA CHOIR as we warm up the atmosphere and bring yuletide cheer this holiday season. Haraya Choir presents: Christmas Classics – A Festive Concert Tour. With 4 shows coming up on the 6th\, 12th\, 14th and the 20th of December in various churches / venues across London\, we aim to celebrate a “Holly Jolly” Christmas celebration through music and community building. Three of these shows are organised for the benefit of The Sacred Heart Church (Kilburn)\, St. Pius X Church (Ladbroke Grove) and St. Dominic’s Priory (Southampton Road) to aid in their repairs and upkeep. \nHaraya Choir is a British – Filipino Chorale based in London and was officially formed in 2017 in a sold out debut concert at St. Peter’s Church in Notting Hill. Haraya means “imagination” or “vision” in Tagalog. Haraya won Grand Prize at the Manchester Amateur Choir Competition in 2020\,  1st prizes at the North Wales Choir Festival (Pop and Mixed Choir categories) in 2022\, and the Peter Carpenter Cup in Bournemouth in May 2025.  Having different professions and backgrounds with singers mostly nurses and staff from the NHS/healthcare sector (BARTS Health\, UCLH\, Chelsea and Westminster\, Kings College Hospital\, Luton and Dunstable\, and Cromwell Hospital) and other members from social care\, hospitality and finance sectors\, the members are unified through their shared passion for singing and musical excellence.

Our guests of honour\, the children and families we support\, will share their favourite festive readings and we will present our Hero Awards\, adding a truly magical touch to the night.  \nDoors open at 6:30pm\, with a delicious array of refreshments including chilled prosecco\, warming mulled wine\, traditional mince pies and festive treats for the children\, all included in your ticket. The concert will begin at 7pm and promises to be a joyful celebration of the season and an evening of hope and inspiration.  \nThis will also be a chance for you to show your support for Solving Kids’ Cancer UK. All proceeds go towards the work we do for children and their families around the UK who are experiencing the many challenges that come with a neuroblastoma diagnosis.  \nSolving Kids’ Cancer UK is a dedicated children’s cancer charity with children and families firmly at its heart. We are striving for better outcomes for children affected by childhood cancer both now and in the future. We have a particular focus and expertise in the rare and complex childhood cancer\, neuroblastoma.

DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, 17 November\, Connaught Village invites Londoners to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with an afternoon of complimentary sustainable craft workshops\, live music performances\, in-store promotions and a chance to meet and pose for a photo with husky dogs\, aptly named Santa Paws.          \n\n\n\nThe Tree of Love\, Joy and Hope will have a new yuletide makeover with a well-known message\, ‘All I want for Christmas is…’\, which will illuminate the streets and become the ideal Insta moment for the family Christmas card. \n\n\n\nPupils from the Connaught House School Choir will perform an open-air performance of classic Christmas carols mixed with a few modern hits to get everyone into the festive spirit. Live musical performances will continue into the evening. \n\n\n\nThroughout the afternoon and into the early evening\, a series of complimentary sustainable Christmas workshops\, including snow globe making and pine cone decorating. On Kendal Street\, visitors are invited to meet and pose for a photo with Santa Paws\, London’s very own husky Claus. An illustrator will be drawing Pawtraits – a chance for visitors to have an illustration drawn of them with their dog. \n\n\n\nThe independent boutiques\, art galleries and eateries of Connaught Village will all be pitching in with their festive treats\, with more details to be announced shortly. Expect discounts\, in-store activations\, free food and drink\, and more. \n\n\n\nPose under the magical tree lighting installation ‘All I want for Christmas is…’ for an Instagrammable moment\, and be sure to share it on Instagram\, tagging @connaughtvillage to win a special prize worth £500. \n\n\n\nThe free event will take place from 3 pm until 8 pm on the 17th of November 2022. DESCRIPTION:Barratt London is launching its Festival of Culture\, a series of bi-weekly virtual events in the lead up to Christmas at its Ridgeway Views development. \nThe first event\, this weekend\, will kick off proceedings with a Jazz Brunch featuring Lauren Lucille on Sunday 1st November 2020 at 11am. \nOther livestream events at the Festival of Culture include: \n– Art class with a member of the North London art group Studio Fridays\n– Cookery class with local chef\n– Carol concert with members of a local choir led by resident Hazel Patterson \nWatch live on Barratt London’s Facebook page\, YouTube channel or Instagram feed.
