SUMMARY:Rendlesham
DESCRIPTION:A day coach trip from London to Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk to explore the 1980 UFO incident\, with audio commentary\, pub lunch and guided tour by master storytellers Minimum Labyrinth. \nThe truth may never be known about the incidents that took place in Rendlesham Forest in December 1980. They have since begun to drift into the mists of folklore\, and the mythological fog of war\, and have been described as ‘Britain’s Roswell’. \nBut something truly unusual did happen. A large number of United States Air Force personnel from the nearby twin bases at RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters witnessed phenomena that none of them have ever been able to explain. The official memo spoke of ‘unexplained lights’ – UFOs being too emotive a term – but\, as later emerged\, there was much more to it than that. \nWe have created a new experience that takes you on a trip from London to the silent beauty of the Suffolk woods\, from the present day to the height of the Cold War\, from the everyday to the uncanny. Whether you want to believe\, or you are resolutely sceptical\, within the remarkable events we find a story of our own fears and compulsions.

SUMMARY:Explorers Against Extinction presents Beyond & Below - Conservation Charity Event
DESCRIPTION:Explorers Against Extinction presents Beyond & Below – Conservation Charity Event\nJoin Explorers Against Extinction and special guests for an exclusive evening of travel & conservation. Proceeds from the evening will help support 21 specific conservation projects worldwide through the 21 For 21 fund-raising campaign. \nAll donations and fund-raising this year will go to our 21 For 21 Project Fund. We’ve pledged the support of at least £2\,100 per project\, giving us a target of £44\,100. We’d love to smash this target to provide further support where it is most needed. \nWe’ve partnered with projects from Brazil to Borneo\, representing many species and wild spaces from the forests to the oceans. In each case\, human activity is the biggest driver of destruction. This unique initiative allows YOU to contribute to worldwide conservation – just £21 supports all 21 projects. \n21 For 21 Project Directory

SUMMARY:The Last Race
DESCRIPTION:A gripping drama telling the true story of Czech skiing pioneers Hanc and Vrbata\, German athlete Emmerich Rath and one fateful race that took place in the Krkonose mountains in 1913. Although Hanc promised his pregnant wife never to race again\, he can’t resist the opportunity to beat the Germans in the first-ever Czech-German cross-country race and joins the competition. When the sun is replaced by a blizzard\, the race turns into a battle for survival\, and true friendship is tested. Using historical records to reconstruct the race\, the film sets straight events that have been reinterpreted by the political ideologies of the past\, creating a captivating thriller set against a backdrop of beautiful mountain panoramas where national rivalries are set aside in a race to save a fellow human life. \nFollowed by Q&A with director TOMÁŠ HODAN \nThe movie is part of the 26th Made in Prague Festival organised by Czech Centre London. The popular multi-genre festival is back again for its 26th edition. Representing one of the oldest national celebrations of European culture in the UK\, the festival presents an exciting programme covering film\, music\, science\, visual art and literature in various venues across London and beyond. Take your pick and immerse yourself in Czech culture this fall.

SUMMARY:Skip the Small Talk at The Exhibit

Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries\, we’ll have plenty to choose from\, like\, “When are you the happiest?” and\, “If you were going to become close friends with me\, what would I need to know about you?” We’ll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.
