DESCRIPTION:An annual art fair that celebrates the work of women and those identifying as women. \nHeld this year at the smaller gallery@oxo venue\, the Fair will focus on showcasing Open Call artists whose work has been selected from thousands of entries.   \nThis year’s Fair is free to all and has a free talks programme with high profile speakers including founder of FAMM (Femmes Artistes due Musée Mougins)\, Christian Levett and Hall Rockefeller\, founder of Less Than Half\, a movement for women interested in art. \nA new Women in Art Fair prize launches this year\, supported this year by Fladgate\, a law firm with a strong diversity and inclusivity programme\, with the winners’ work on show at the Fair.

DESCRIPTION:REJECTS: A Celebration of Overlooked Artworks by the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. \nNow in its fourth year and previously featured in The BBC\, The Guardian\, and The Art Newspaper\, REJECTS is back this June with a brand-new line-up of artists and artworks that didn’t make it into the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Each year around 18\,000 artists apply to the RA\, but only about 1\,500 make the cut\, leaving a whole lot of talent that might otherwise go unseen. \nHoused in a quaint 19th-century bakery on Notting Hill’s iconic Portobello Road\, this year’s exhibition provides a defiant spotlight for these brilliant\, overlooked works. Spanning painting\, sculpture\, photography\, textiles\, and mixed media\, the show features a fresh mix of emerging and established artists reclaiming their space on the summer art calendar. Expect a range of bold statements and thoughtful storytelling\, from bright\, joyful paintings and embroidered buildings to hauntingly beautiful figures. \nWhether you’re an art collector or just art-curious\, Art Friend welcomes everyone to the gallery.
