SUMMARY:Life of a Lifer - Charles 'Bronson' Salvador
DESCRIPTION:Lily Selavie Gallery is proud to announce our display of the collected works of Charles ‘Bronson’ Salvador\, a world-renowned artist and prisoner. Infamous for his controversial incarceration\, his work is a reflection of his life behind bars\, an eclectic array of emotions and experiences of life inside the British prison system. \nTo many\, a life sentence would be a death knell of hopelessness. Salvador expertly shuns this through his art\, showing his love of life in every stroke and smudge\, often in bizarre and wonderful collages of quotations\, characters\, and animated scenes. It is his passion for the physical that\, for many\, underlies and often underestimates Charlie’s strength of mind and spirit against adversity. \nThe show – ‘Life of a Lifer’ – will debut at a private view on 12th February 2026\, from 6 PM to 9 PM. \nAn open exhibition will follow from 13th February to 12th March 2026\, with doors open from 12:30 PM to 6 PM. \nAdmission to both events is restricted to ticket holders only\, with day passes available at the door during the open exhibition dates.

SUMMARY:London Loo Tour
DESCRIPTION:It’s Not the Bog-Standard London Experience! \nPrepare to be immersed (metaphorically\, that is!) in a world where the humble toilet becomes a portal to explore history\, anthropology\, art\, architecture\, identity\, and of course\, our sense of humour. \nFrom the earliest latrines through to the future of flushing\, your guide will take you on a whirlwind tour through the history of Britain’s public toilets\, with plenty of interesting sights and practical tips along the way. You’ll answer all the questions you never knew you had… How did the Romans wipe their bottoms?  Was there really a man named Thomas Crapper? How long will you spend in the smallest room in a lifetime? And why do we even call it a loo? \nIt’s the perfect day out for anyone who likes to dive a bit deeper… lifelong Londoners and first time visitors alike! One thing is for sure: you may never think about a simple visit to the lavatory the same way again!

SUMMARY:CINDY + THE GABYS
DESCRIPTION:CINDY + THE GABYS\n\nFriday 13 February\nChats Palace\, 42-44 Brooksby’s Walk\, London\, E9 6DF\n7.30pm | £14 | Tickets: https://link.dice.fm/yd196e6fb1a4 \n\nCINDY is a key part of the San Francisco/Bay Area dream pop\, fog pop\, and lo-fi scene. Led by NYC-originating songwriter Karina Gill\, the steady stream of releases has earned sincere support from the international press community\, who have vividly championed the writing and sound. The songs are hazy but with intent – this is nostalgic pop-craft with lyrical backbone that has opened doors for Cindy to tour and appear at festivals in the UK\, Europe and USA\, most recently with DIY recording icon\, Linda Smith. \nThe current Cindy touring band includes members Will Smith of Now\, Staizsh Rodrigues of Children Maybe Later\, and Oli Lipton of Now and Violent Change. Cindy will tour the EU & UK in 2026\, while making progress back home in San Francisco on the eagerly awaited fifth album. Cindy have previous releases available through Tough Love and Paisley Shirt Records. \nhttps://cindytheband.bandcamp.com/ \nTHE GABYS are a duo made up of Matt Wilkinson and Natasha Bikkul. They write mysterious\, eerie bedroom pop from their home in Liverpool. This is Velvet Underground-inspired electric folk music that can roll with 90s New Zealand greats like Dadamah and The Garbage & The Flowers but also has parallels with current San Francisco lo-fi pop moodists like April Magazine and Mister Baby. They have released music with All Gone\, Fruits and Flowers\, and most recently\, A Colourful Storm. \nhttps://fruitsandflowers.bandcamp.com/album/the-gabys

SUMMARY:San Vito's Valentine Noir at The Old Church - Concert
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a mysterious and romantic night at San Vito’s Valentine Noir to celebrate the release of his upcoming single “Cold Teeth”\n\n\n\nSan Vito’s Valentine Noire \nThis Valentine’s Day\, love takes a crimson turn. \nPlease note strobe lighting will be used during this event \nHeadlining the night is San Vito\, bringing their haunting blend of post-punk and grunge to the stage in a set that fuses raw emotion with cinematic intensity. The band will mark the release of their new single “Cold Teeth”\, out 23 January 2026 — a chilling anthem that’s already stirring underground attention. \nSupporting San Vito are two of the most evocative rising acts in the scene: \n• Soviet Underground — industrial-tinged post-punk drenched in melancholy. \n• Coast Noir — brooding rock soaked in thrills rain and epic tones. \nSan Vito \nStemming from your lust for picturesque punk\, SAN VITO and THE SILENCERS dance with your unspoken romance and pleasure cut cults. San Vito created his neo-punk/black drip blues in a pole dancing speakeasy\, which later became the TASTE MY CHARM EP. \n“She wants death\, but she wants to survive it” reveals to ignite the EP. \nNow\, San Vito joins Kristian Bell (The Wytches) to produce his second EP – Tapping Ten Trinkets – out now. \nSan Vito brings Black Drip Blues next to the forbidden stone. Death’s breath has no tone. \nSoviet Underground \nSoviet Underground is a collective dedicated to the revival of Soviet era underground music scene\, centered around the music of influential Red Wave bands. The collective aims to bring a feel and a glimpse of that sound and atmosphere to the western “music-lover”. The music\, presented by Soviet Underground\, takes the connoisseur on a historic journey through the iconic sound of soviet underground. \nCoast Noir \n⚕️ＡＵＲＯＲＡ ＩＳ ＡＭＯＮＧＳＴ ＵＳ⚕️ \nCoast Noir display an intense theatricality that is matched by no other. Coming down to London from Manchester\, they will certainly need no patience in getting your attension. \nMuch more to be announced… \nWhether you come to waltz beneath the red lights or to mourn love’s ruin\, San Vito’s Valentines Noir promises to be a Valentine’s like no other.

SUMMARY:YELLOW SWANS + UNMARRY ME + RAIME (DJs)
DESCRIPTION:Upset The Rhythm presents… \nYELLOW SWANS\nUNMARRY ME\nRAIME (DJs)\nMonday 16 February\nThe Lexington\, 96-98 Pentonville Rd\, Angel\, London\, N1 9JB\n7.30pm | £18 | Tickets: https://link.dice.fm/r1ab97cac2bd \nYELLOW SWANS have carved an influential path through America’s experimental music underground\, at the axis of noise\, psychedelia\, industrial\, drone\, and hardcore. From their 2001 founding to the duo’s final shows (and subsequent hiatus) in 2008\, Gabriel Mindel Saloman and Pete Swanson released well over 50 recordings documenting studio experiments\, live improvisations\, and numerous collaborations. Together they relentlessly toured North America\, Europe\, and Oceania\, performing at numerous international music festivals including Sonar (ES)\, Open Circuit (BE)\, and Sonic Protest (FR)\, and were invited to join Art Council England’s Free Noise Tour in 2007. Yellow Swans performed for Upset The Rhythm multiple times during these busy years. Now\, after a 15 year break\, they have returned to recording and performing. Their music continues to be restless\, ragged\, and forever in flux\, untethered and unresolved. Check out the duo’s two new casette albums on Bandcamp now\, ‘Out of Practice I & II’\, the second is particularly striking and alien\, enjoy! \nhttps://yellowswans.bandcamp.com/ \nUNMARRY ME is a triangular shaped group\, comprising of Lise Frances\, Jon Slade and Chris Rowley. London to Brighton and back again. Unmarry Me are a group that have been together for about 6 months in a world at war and in trouble. Unmarry Me are therefore a group trying to carve out some joy and light as form of resistance\, no small feat\, and maybe grandiose but worth the stating. Unmarry Me Is comprised of personnel who have all had time or continue to have time in other groups who did not take easy routes or money and didn’t make many friends\, so it goes. These groups respectively or chronologically were and are Huggy Bear\, Comet Gain\, I’m Being Good\, Help She Can’t Swim\, Snoozers and Adulkt Life. Bands that time will record as being on the right sides of history and her story. Unmarry Me are of a completely different stripe or ilk but comprise the antagonist and peculiar DNA that honour this. Unmarry Me play and record and create and make do in a DIY syncretism that’s useful to themselves\, distinct and not worth talking about. Unmarry Me! are about bending\, queering\, breaking and resetting rules\, smudging boundaries and in the main having a lot of excellent fun!! \nhttps://happy-soul-records.bandcamp.com/album/clean-fight-b-w-spanner-in-the-hurt \nRAIME (DJs)\nhttps://raime.bandcamp.com/

SUMMARY:Award-winning comedian Ian Stone brings new show to London
DESCRIPTION:Following a sold-out tour and international success\, Ian Stone is back – and he’s searching for life’s missing magic: \n“There has to be more to life than the humdrum and the routine before the inevitable slide into disease\, decay\, and death. Why can’t we sneak in a hint of awesome\, a tad of amazing\, and maybe a smidge of wonderful? Where you get is your business. A forest canopy opening onto a huge vista would be enchanting for some\, but my ancestors wandered in the desert for forty years — I think we’ve been outdoors enough. Others get their fix from the spiritual\, but I’ve been harbouring a grudge against God since my mother stopped me going to Arsenal after my Barmitzvah — forty-nine years ago. “God will be watching\,” she said. Well\, at least He got to see the game. The point is\, life could be so much better — so I’m on the lookout. Come and join me on the hunt.” \nIan Stone is a hugely experienced broadcaster\, podcaster and writer and a brilliantly funny comedian. He performs at major comedy festivals and venues globally. His popular posts and reels on social media have quickly earned him a following of over 60k across BlueSky\, Instagram\, TikTok\, and Facebook\, amassing millions of views. \n  \nIn the last four years\, Ian has performed his one-man shows at the Edinburgh Festival to packed rooms and great reviews. In 2023\, he won the prestigious Spirit of the Fringe Award. He took his last show on tour across the UK\, finishing with a sold-out performance at London’s Comedy Store. Ian recently returned from making his debut at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. \nAside from stand-up comedy\, Ian currently presents a very popular (50k downloads per episode)\, twice-weekly Arsenal podcast\, Handbrake Off\, for The Athletic. A live version of the podcast recently sold out Leicester Square Theatre in London. Ian is also a regular contributor on Times Radio. His book To Be Someone was published in 2020 and has received nearly 500 four- and five-star reviews on Amazon. \nWhether on stage\, behind the mic\, or in print\, Ian Stone is the voice of sharp humour\, biting insight\, and perfectly crafted comedy. \nDate: 16th February 2026 \nVenue: The Comedy Store \nTime: 8pm \nTickets available here: https://london.thecomedystore.co.uk/event/ian-stone-is-looking-for-the-wow/ \n

SUMMARY:Meet the artist - Guided Tour & Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Led by Géza Starmüller\, this workshop takes a participatory artistic format\, fostering direct dialogue between artists and audiences. Participants are encouraged to engage in shared creative processes and moderated discussions\, exploring themes of philosophy\, history\, and contemporary art. The programme moves beyond traditional presentation models\, emphasising collaboration\, critical thinking\, and collective reflection in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. \nThe guided tour offers an open platform where artistic practice and intellectual exchange meet in a live\, communal\, and warm setting. \n\n\nGéza Starmüller (b. 1966\, Cluj) is a contemporary visual artist and sculptor based in Transylvania. The fourth generation of artists in his family\, his practice is rooted in a lifelong engagement with art\, supported by both family heritage and formal training. He studied sculpture at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca and further developed his practice through private mentorships and international art camps. \nWorking primarily with conceptual and spiritual foundations\, his artistic language unfolds through oil painting and bronze sculpture\, and more occasionally through stone and wood. His work explores the moment when spirit penetrates matter\, an approach he defines as cosmic surrealism. Influenced by philosophy\, diverse cultures\, personal life experience\, and place\, his creative process often begins with an intuitive vision that matures over the years into its final form. \nStarmüller has participated in numerous national and international group exhibitions and has contributed to major public art projects\, including the restoration of the Statue of Liberty in Arad\, as well as other monuments in Romania and abroad.

SUMMARY:The Balanas Sisters: live at The Mildmay Club
DESCRIPTION:Having grown up in the small Latvian town of Dobele\, Kristine and Margarita Balanas moved to the UK in their teens. Since studying together at the Royal Academy of Music in London\, they have performed together at New York’s Carnegie Hall\, the Sydney Opera House\, Berlin Philharmonie\, and London’s Royal Albert Hall\, Barbican\, and Royal Festival Hall. \nThis performance\, their first since signing a record deal with Decca Classics\, is an intimate exploration of duet repertoire for violin and cello. Taking place in Newington Green’s iconic working people’s club The Mildmay Club\, the programme centres around compositions by Maurice Ravel and fellow Latvian Peteris Vasks\, complimented by new arrangements of George Frideric Handel and Antonio Vivaldi made specially for The Balanas Sisters. \nRavel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello features at the heart of the evening. Written in memoriam of Claude Debussy\, it finds common aesthetic ground with Vasks’ Castillo Interior\, a meditative and spiritual piece inspired by the writings of St Teresa of Ávila. It’s a journey of discovery that mirrors the sisters’ own path in music\, a theme of personal reflection which links together all the music in the programme at this one-off London show.
