SUMMARY:Boogie on the Bones
DESCRIPTION:In Soviet Moscow\, wearing a yellow tie is an act of rebellion. Dancing to jazz could cost you everything.\nThis is the story of the stilyagi — young people who chose colour over conformity\, music over safety\, and love over ideology. \n“We wanted to live like Americans\, but we created something of our own — something human.” \nMoscow\, 1956. In Stalin’s grey world\, a group of young rebels called stilyagi dare to wear bright clothes and dance to American jazz. Bob\, a medical student\, smuggles Western music by carving grooves into X-ray films — literally “boogie on the bones.” When Komsomol officer Mels falls for the mysterious Polly during a police raid\, he must choose between duty and desire\, safety and self-expression.\nThis electrifying new musical follows Mels’s transformation from loyal party member to passionate jazz musician\, guided by Bob’s darkly comic wisdom and the charismatic Fred\, who carries a devastating secret from his trip to America. As the authorities tighten their grip and friends disappear one by one\, these young dreamers discover that sometimes the only way to stay human under an authoritarian regime is to put on a bright tie and play jazz. \nInspired by real events Boogie on the Bones is a story of love\, music\, and the price of freedom. With echoes of Cabaret and the energy of West Side Story\, this intimate chamber musical asks: what would you risk to be yourself? \nA powerful reminder that in the darkest times\, art becomes rebellion\, and every song is an act of defiance.

SUMMARY:Magical Candlelit Christmas Concert 2025
DESCRIPTION:It has always been a star-studded evening. Last year\, we had readings from Lyse Doucet CM OBE\, award-winning Chief International Correspondent and Senior Presenter for BBC World News television and radio\, and our wonderful Patron\, the Lord Cope of Berkeley PC. Soprano Bibi Heal and Stephen Barlow entertained us with stunning solos. In 2023\, our Patron\, Dame Joanna Lumley\, joined us as a Guest Reader! \nWe are delighted that Thames Fanfare Brass will raise the roof again this year. What would a Christmas Concert be without a Trumpet Fanfare?! The angelic voices of the Queen’s Gate School Choirs will fill the church with gorgeous songs\, wonderful harp music by Lesley Magee\, and plenty of favourite Christmas Carols\, too! More Guests to be announced soon. \nWe look forward to welcoming you again in 2025 for the most magical start to the Festive Season. Every penny raised in profit will help Kids for Kids provide essentials to Darfur children in desperate need. The violence over the past 23 months has been far worse than anything we have experienced over the years. Darfur continues to face bitter conflict\, and the indirect effects of violence are almost worse: disease\, starvation and hunger in this century. We provide sacks of seed for planting and Kids’ Kitchen Kits for families with small children\, including pulses\, lentils\, powdered meat\, ground nuts and even fresh produce. Children have been deprived of protein for months. By attending our Candlelit Christmas Concert\, you will enable us to reach many more families. They need you\, need us\, right now. \nThe concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be followed by Mulled Wine and Mince Pies (included in your ticket). It’s the perfect way to start Christmas Carols by Candlelight.

SUMMARY:From the Lips to the Moon: NOISE COMPLAINT
DESCRIPTION:From the Lips to the Moon returns to Cafe OTO for an electrifying long-form improvisation of music and words led by live-electronic music wizard Pouya Ehsaei and voice-shifting performer-writer Tara Fatehi. \nEach From the Lips to the Moon show features a fresh lineup of guest musicians and poets\, creating an intimate yet expansive space of playfulness and transformation. For this Cafe OTO edition Pouya and Tara are joined by the spellbinding percussionist Mauritzio Ravalico\, poet and national slam winner Maureen Onwunali and more TBA. \nThis event marks the launch of a new poetry publication featuring writings by Tim Etchells\, Nisha Ramayya\, Tara Fatehi\, Belinda Zhawi\, Maureen Onwunali\, and more. \nWeaving together live electronics\, unearthly melodies\, noise\, twisted beats\, performative poetry\, heavy subs\, and non-stories told in goosebumps and half-familiar languages\, the night invites audiences into a space where dark fantasy\, experimentation\, and unexpected encounters unfold. Since 2022\, From the Lips to the Moon has become a driving force in London’s experimental performance scene\, with past shows at Southbank Centre\, V&A Museum\, Cafe OTO\, 180 Studios\, Sophiensaele\, Teatro Lucido\, NTS and Soho Radio. www.lipstomoon.com \n‘Futuristic\, colourfully surreal and fantastical—like looking through a kaleidoscope.’ Worms

SUMMARY:AN ITALIAN VISION - BODIES AND LANDSCAPES
DESCRIPTION:AN ITALIAN VISION – BODIES AND LANDSCAPES\nA solo exhibition by Giulio Fabbri & Piero Gianfranceschi\nDecember 06 – 12\, 2025\nELEMENTS Contemporary Art Space\, London \nITSLIQUID Group\, in collaboration with YMX Arts\, is pleased to present An Italian Vision – Bodies and Landscapes\, a dual solo exhibition featuring Italian artists Giulio Fabbri and Piero Gianfranceschi\, curated by Luca Curci and coordinated by Amaride Ferrante. The show will be held in London from December 06 to December 12\, 2025\, at ELEMENTS Art Space. \nThe exhibition brings together two complementary voices of contemporary painting in a dialogue between body and landscape\, identity and memory\, offering a captivating encounter between the vibrant exploration of the human figure and the serene interpretation of the natural world. Both artists\, trained as architects yet guided by very different expressive sensibilities\, reinterpret reality through a deeply personal and poetic lens. The fragmented\, ironic vitality of Fabbri’s bodies meets the suspended\, contemplative serenity of Gianfranceschi’s landscapes\, revealing a shared Italian sensibility capable of blending structure and imagination\, light and matter\, reality and dream. \nThe title “An Italian Vision – Bodies and Landscapes” embraces this dual movement: on one side\, the body as a field of tension and metamorphosis; on the other\, the landscape as a space of the soul and a refuge for the gaze. \nItalian Musicians
