SUMMARY:Critical Moment
DESCRIPTION:An evening of new dance/dance theatre works created by older choreographers.\nExamining how we act\, hesitate or agitate when enough is enough\, presenting older age on stage\, the message is important\, urgent and challenging.\nThe choreographers are Ann Clifford\, with Counterpoint dancers and Pandemonium drummers; Caroline Muraldo\, Grand Gesture; Jennifer Jackson and Kim Mendez with The Sage Dance Company; Linda Foster\, with Function of X; Mary Cox with The Jammers\, and Sarah Jackson and Quercum dancers. \nThis mixed bill includes questioning\, playful\, joyful\, and reflective works.\nThe choreographers\, who come from varied backgrounds—ballet\, contemporary\, and dance theatre—deal with themes of resilience and regrowth\, sacrifice\, friendship\, cultural assumptions\, and violence against women.
