Starting off at an Art Nouveau Grade II listed pub which is decorated throughout with multi-coloured marble\, mosaics\, and bronze reliefs of monks. The pub stands on the site of a Dominican Monastery which stood beside the River Fleet. SUMMARY:World Zombie Day
DESCRIPTION:Dive into the spirit of Halloween with World Zombie Day. Apart from terrifying those around\, London World Zombie Day has been doing charities that have helped others. \nThis is the final bang for London World Zombie Day. Therefore\, all lost lost zombies as well as new zombies shall gather to shamble through Central London\, dressed up in your zombie finest\, to meet at the secret location. Think of it like one last “hurrah!” before hammering  the final nails into the coffins and snuggle down for a long\, long sleep. \nThis year World Zombie day hopes to raise charity for prevention of hunger and homelessness. The money goes towards charities that work on alleviating these issues. The charity of choice this year is City Harvest – giving food another life. City Harvest has a simple mission: Rapidly rescue surplus food and use it to feed those who need it most. Be part of the team making London first to be a zero-waste city. \nRegister HERE to attend World Zombie Day: London. We will contact you with information about how you can prepare for the day\, help fundraise\, and most importantly: where to go on the day! \n2017 video: \n \nThe event is free\, but please show your support by adding on a donation when you register (suggested amount: £5). This will help cover minimal admin cost and the rest will go towards the charity. The walk is a family-friendly event. Under 18’s requires parental supervision. \nYou can only register for two spaces\, but it’s free…. so if your friends want to go\, just send them here. If they register themselves\, they’ll be sure to get the event details in their email\, saving you the bother of having to tell them where to meet you. *You do not need to register your zom-children or zom-dogs. \n \nSome things to remember:\nPut on a good show! Stay in character but don’t get carried away. You are responsible for your own safety and  good conduct. \n1. Use the “haunted house” rule in that you are not to touch anyone. \n2. Use your best judgement when it comes to planning your outfit. Please do not bring weapons (fake\, fantasy\, and definitely not real). As you’ll be on your feet and outdoors for most of the day\, take this into consideration. And be creative! \n3. Do not attempt to scare anyone who is not a willing participant. If anyone is freaking out\, turn and shamble in the opposite direction. Avoid confrontations! \n4. If your walk is anywhere near streets or roadways\, stay on the pavement unless crossing the street. When crossing\, it’s OK to “break character” and cross quickly. Think fast “New Dawn of the Dead” zombies verses the slower “Old Dawn of the Dead” zombies when crossing the street. Blocking traffic is a crime and anyone doing so could be arrested. \n5. STRICTLY NO ILLEGAL DRUGS are permitted and no alcohol for under 18’s. Police will be called if this rule is broken. \n6. No littering\, destruction of property\, or any other illegal activity. This includes smearing fake blood\, banging on windows\, etc. The organisers will not be held responsible for any damaged property. Pretend the location of the walk is your own neighbourhood and show the utmost respect. This event is a tradition\, so we don’t want to ruin it. Remember\, the press will be watching (along with the police) and this event could get world-wide news coverage. Let’s put on a good show. \n7. Keep in mind you might be asked for a picture ID at the pubs and your zombie face might not match your picture ID. If you are refused entry\, please understand the doorman is only doing his job. \n8. Please do not attempt to push your way into any business if you are not welcome. \nCan you dig it? \n  \nSo dress Up and let’s get your scare on!

SUMMARY:Rendlesham
DESCRIPTION:A day coach trip from London to Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk to explore the 1980 UFO incident\, with audio commentary\, pub lunch and guided tour by master storytellers Minimum Labyrinth. \nThe truth may never be known about the incidents that took place in Rendlesham Forest in December 1980. They have since begun to drift into the mists of folklore\, and the mythological fog of war\, and have been described as ‘Britain’s Roswell’. \nBut something truly unusual did happen. A large number of United States Air Force personnel from the nearby twin bases at RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters witnessed phenomena that none of them have ever been able to explain. The official memo spoke of ‘unexplained lights’ – UFOs being too emotive a term – but\, as later emerged\, there was much more to it than that. \nWe have created a new experience that takes you on a trip from London to the silent beauty of the Suffolk woods\, from the present day to the height of the Cold War\, from the everyday to the uncanny. Whether you want to believe\, or you are resolutely sceptical\, within the remarkable events we find a story of our own fears and compulsions.

SUMMARY:Art Deco in Baker Street Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:– A Study in Modern(e) Style and Elementary Elegance –From a block of flats boasting the largest rooftop garden in Europe to a towering head office offering passersby a guiding light\, ‘Art Deco in Baker Street’ explores how one of London’s most widely known streets has managed to strike an interesting balance between traditional and modern architecture. While following along the traces of bygone bazaars and lost cinemas\, the game is truly going to be afoot and visitors will not only be discovering how department stores and corporations have infused Jazz Age flair into their shop fittings and office facilities\, but also\, as if channeling the nefarious world of Sherlock Holmes himself\, be hearing tales about a mysterious ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’-style case of double identity\, a bold and brash bank heist (semi) gone wrong as well as a delightfully unconventional school for women detectives.

DESCRIPTION:This spring we invite you to walk the waterways of England\, navigating their gentle wildness alongside Sam Lee and special guest ecological pioneers.\nLeave your gadgets behind and spend a day chalk streaming together. \nLittle-known but quietly magnificent chalk streams are one of the UK’s natural wonders and ecological miracles. Despite all the environmental mistreatment they receive\, they continue to bubble up some of the finest waters in the land\, harbouring communities of life within and humans alongside. Their life-giving properties have shaped our nation\, inspired artists to create and conquerors to colonise. \nAs we walk we will take several moments en route to stop and explore the river together. SUMMARY:K2: My Way + Q&A with director Jana Počtová
DESCRIPTION:A documentary about Klára Kolouchová\, the first Czech climber to conquer K2.\nKlára is a mountain climber\, a mother and a woman\, and she is going to climb K2. To be a woman in a man’s world is not easy\, but Klara pursues her dreams. She has already climbed Mount Everest; the deadlier K2 is next. Although her two previous attempts have failed\, she is heading there again. SUMMARY:Guided Walks London - The Unburied Corner of London
DESCRIPTION:Guided Walks London – The Unburied Corner of London\nA guided walk to uncover the layers of history that lie beneath the Museum of London. \nThe Unburied Corner of London is Minimum Labyrinth’s second new guided walking tour for 2021. \nWhen the Museum of London moves to its new home in Smithfield\, the existing 1970s Museum building on London Wall will be redeveloped. In June 2021\, Contemporary Art Society\, on behalf of the Corporation of London\, commissioned Robert Kingham (presenter of Pagan London) to lead a new walk delving into its layers of history. The walk does not go into the Museum itself\, but rather around and under it: and the stories\, buildings\, archaeology\, and people whose lives it has touched are every bit as rich and effusive as the collections within. \nOn this two-and-a-half-hour walk\, you will encounter the lost alleys of Barnaby Rudge\, the Infirmary for the Relief of the Poor Afflicted with Diseases of the Rectum\, modernist dreamers\, the brimstone doctrine of the Aldersgate meeting houses. \nIncluded in the guided walk would be learning about the sieges of London\, the well-water that cures drunkenness\, the biggest fire between 1666 and 1940\, the hermit of Cripplegate\, and the oldest Jewish cemetery in England.

SUMMARY:Coach trip to Rendlesham Forest
DESCRIPTION:A coach trip from London to Rendlesham Forest with audio commentary and full guided tour of the mysterious 1980 UFO sightings. \nMaster storytellers Minimum Labyrinth have created an experience that takes you on a trip from London to the silent beauty of the Suffolk woods\, from the present day to the height of the Cold War\, from the everyday to the uncanny. Whether you want to believe\, or you are resolutely sceptical\, within the remarkable events we find a story of our own fears and compulsions.

The project creates a wholly accessible public art trail\, providing a unique and exciting platform for artists to showcase their work\, and hopefully leaves you feeling inspired for Spring\, the future\, and how beautiful change can be…”

SUMMARY:Guided Walk: Follow the Footsteps of Activist & Workers' Champion\, Francis Kitz
DESCRIPTION:‘Frankie Goes to Collywood’ is a walk dedicated to the life of times of a remarkable individual called Francis Kitz who devoted his life to supporting people caught up in the turbulent period of the late industrial revolution. \nWhether they were the very poorest Londoners\, oppressed workers or foreign refugees fleeing the pogroms in Europe\, he was on their side. Kitz was also a dyer and political ally of William Morris and it was working for him at the Merton Printworks that brought him to the Colliers Wood area. \nKitz’ contribution to working people on the Wandle was acknowledged earlier this year with the placing of a blue plaque and a number of Walks covering his central London connections and haunts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is part of London Unseen and will be free to attend thanks to funding from the Mayor of London’s Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm.
