SUMMARY:Action for Wellbeing

It’s the start of a practical\, science-backed journey to resilience. \nWhat Is EmPower?\nEmPower is a mental fitness programme that blends neuroscience\, behavioural psychology\, and real-world experience into a simple framework you can use every day. \nIt’s not about “just thinking positive.”\nIt’s about building long-term habits that strengthen your emotional resilience the way training strengthens a muscle. \nAt its core is one simple truth: you are not broken—you just need the right tools to thrive. \nWhy Attend Action for Wellbeing?\nBecause the pressure isn’t letting up.\nBecause “pushing through” is no longer working.\nBecause you deserve practical strategies—not quick fixes. \nThis event is for you if: \n\n\nYou feel stretched\, stuck\, or close to burnout \n\n\nYou want to swap self-doubt for confidence and clarity \n\n\nYou need tools that fit into your busy day \n\n\nYou’re ready to reconnect with your purpose and energy \n\n\nWhat You’ll Gain in Two Hours\nIn this dynamic session\, you’ll: \n\n\nExplore how mental fitness boosts both performance and wellbeing \n\n\nLearn evidence-based tools to handle stress\, procrastination\, and imposter syndrome \n\n\nConnect with others who share your challenges \n\n\nLeave with a clear\, practical starting point to strengthen your resilience \n\n\nAnd after the seminar\, stay for an informal networking opportunity—a chance to connect with peers\, share experiences\, and build supportive relationships. \nWhy EmPower Works\nEmPower is different because it: \n\n\nAligns personal wellbeing with professional performance \n\n\nSupports individuals and organisations \n\n\nFocuses on simple\, daily actions—not overwhelming commitments \n\n\nHas already helped participants gain confidence\, improve decision-making\, and delay “bad days” before they spiral \n\n\n✨ Action for Wellbeing is your invitation to stop pushing through and start building strength that lasts. \nReady to take control of your mental fitness?\nSpaces are limited to just 200 participants.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a transformative Gong Bath session designed to help you relax\, release\, and reconnect with your inner calm. \nThe session takes place in a candlelit studio\, creating a warm\, inviting space to help you ease into deep relaxation. You’ll spend 45–60 minutes in stillness\, lying down\, fully immersed in the sound and vibrations of a variety of instruments\, including: \n\n2 Gongs (30″ Earth Gong + 36″ Paiste Symphonic Gong)\nHimalayan Singing Bowls\nShamanic Drum\nOcean Drum\nThunder Drum\nChime Bells\n…and many more percussive instruments\, all designed to guide you on a deep inner journey and facilitate experiences of altered states of consciousness (ASC).\n\nWhat to bring: \n\nComfortable\, warm clothing\nYour own yoga mat and blanket (a few mats and blankets are available in the studio if you forget or can’t bring your own\, on a first-come\, first-served basis)\nA pillow\, if desired\, for extra comfort while lying down\n\nSpace etiquette: \n\nThe studio is a non-speaking space. During sign-in\, participants can ask any questions\, which will be answered by a team member. Once inside the studio\, participants are invited to lay down or sit quietly on their mat and enter a personal inner journey — relaxing\, tuning down\, letting the day dissolve\, and beginning the healing process.\nIf anything comes up during the session\, participants may quietly refer to me or let me know\, but please keep your voice low so as not to disturb others.\nPlease turn off your phones before entering to maintain a quiet\, undisturbed environment.\nAllow in any sounds from the surroundings during the Gong Bath. For example\, if a fellow participant snores or makes other sounds\, consider them part of the immersive experience and let them flow with the vibrations of the session.\n\nIncense: Light incense may be used to engage your senses and enhance the experience. If you would prefer not to have incense\, please let me know in advance so accommodations can be made. \nThis session is designed to help you connect deeply with your inner peace\, sense of calm\, and overall wellbeing. Whether you’re new to sound healing or a regular practitioner\, this is a unique opportunity to reset your mind\, body\, and spirit. \nBOOKINGS:  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/gong-bath-between-sound-stillness-consciousness-tickets-1916108765899?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl

SUMMARY:Uncle Matt’s Chats x Barclays – 9th Oct\, London
DESCRIPTION:The One Where We Take Over a Bank!\nMe: “This is a stick-up!” \nBarclays Teller: “You’re holding a baseball cap.” \nMe: “Yes\, and I’m here to steal your… event space.” \nBarclays Teller: “…Alright?” \n…and that’s how we ended up hosting a mental health event at Barclays Moorgate. \nFrom Chapels to Pubs… to Banks\nAfter hijacking a chapel and a pub\, we’ve levelled up — Uncle Matt’s Chats is now taking over a bank. \nBut don’t worry\, instead of stealing cash\, we’re handing out ideas. \n\nIdeas about spotting the signs early\nIdeas about talking before things hit crisis point\nIdeas about how to stop pretending you’re “fine” when you’re very much not fine.\n\nExpect Sarcasm\, Snacks\, and Serious Chats\nThere’ll be food. There’ll be drink. \nThere might even be a group mortgage application (only if it happens naturally and nobody makes it weird). \nIf you like your mental health events served with sarcasm — and your hats served in ice cream tubs — this one’s for you. \nWho’s Talking\nWe’ve got a brilliant line-up ready to share their stories and spark some conversations: \n\nSteve Willicott – The guy who accidentally turned grief into a hat brand and is now somehow running mental health events.\nRichard Pearce – A real-life Barclays VP\, proving that talking about mental health is actually allowed in corporate land.\nJake Mills – Founder of Chasing the Stigma\, joining for a fireside chat on why prevention always beats waiting until everything goes completely wrong.\n\nEvent Details\n📅 Date: Thursday 9th October \n⏰ Time: Doors open at 16:30. Talks start at 17:00 and wrap up by 19:30. \n📍 Location: Barclays Moorgate\, 120 Moorgate\, London\, EC2M 6UR \nGet Your Free Ticket\nSpots are limited\, so grab yours before they disappear: \n👉 Get Your Free Ticket >>
