DESCRIPTION:BucketRace is a Scavenger Race around London\, where teams compete against one another by completing tasks on the list\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\nInstructions \n• 1st place prize: A 3 course meal for 2\, accompanied by a bottle of the house wine at Paternoster Chop House (First Dates Restaurant). \nBucketRace is a Scavenger Race around London\, where teams compete against one another by completing tasks on the list (or BucketList) provided. BucketRaces goal is for participants to discover new places\, activities and hidden gems within London\, while meeting like-minded people and competing in a fun and friendly environment. \nYou can enter either as an individual and we will allocate you a team on the day\, or as your own team. \nRules \nTeams can be no larger than 2 people \nTeams must stick together at all times \nEach photo should include the whole team; however\, one member can be excluded if they’re taking the photo/video \nTasks are divided into Miscellaneous and Location categories \nYou can only choose one set of location tasks \nLocation tasks are mutually exclusive. You cannot score tasks within multiple locations \nTasks must adhere to the submission criteria to be counted \nAny teams caught cheating will be disqualified \nTeams with the most points at the end of BucketRace wins. \n\n\nWhat you need \nAll you need is a well-charged smart phone (more than one per team is advised) and a Twitter account. BucketRace will provide the rest. \n\n\n\n\n \n  \n\n\nScoring \nEach task carries a specific amount of points based on its difficulty\, location and BucketRace classification (e.g. location\, miscellaneous or bonus). The location tasks score the least; however completing enough of them unlocks a hefty bonus. Miscellaneous tasks score more points\, but they don’t offer any bonus incentive. So choose wisely! \nIt’s also worth noting that most of the BucketRace location tasks have been written in order of the quickest route. The exceptions are the final few tasks within each section\, which have been chosen to fit the culture of each area and can be performed anywhere within that location. BucketRace lasts for 4 hours. Any teams who arrive to the finish late\, will forfeit a cumulative 50 points every 10 minutes. \nTasks \nThere are Location tasks specific to regions of London such as: Find a taxi serving coffee in Shoreditch\, find the giant Dragon in Camden and build a human pyramid in Hyde Park. There are general London based tasks such as: arrive at Big Ben when the clock strikes 14:00\, hail a black cab and start a party on an open top bus. And there are miscellaneous tasks such as: wear a toothpaste moustache\, wear a toilet seat around your neck\, get a high score on a video game \nTask Submission \nTasks are submitted through the wonderful world of social media\, using photos and/or videos as evidence. More specifically we calculate real time scores using Twitters #Hashtag function. That way teams can use their own mobile phones and we can give you hourly updates on how each team is performing. Twitter is free to download and use. If you don’t already have a twitter account\, please ask one of our staff to help you create one before BucketRace begins. \n• Each tweet must contain the following: Name of task\, points value\, #BucketRace\, #TeamName\, @BucketRace and a photo/video of the task. \nExample : Stand in the corner of an elevator facing the wrong way while people enter\, 50 pts\, @BucketRace\, #TeamName #BucketRace. \nOn The Day \n​The Meet \n​We meet at – The Crown\, 64 Brewer St\, Soho\, London W1F 9TP. The location is easily accessible by tube or bus. The nearest tube station is Piccadilly Circus. Once there\, individual sign ups will be collated into teams\, there will be a brief introduction and teams will receive their lists. Within in the 4 hour time period\, teams must choose which region of London they’ll be completing tasks in\, and complete the tasks they believe will amount to the most points. When the clock strikes 12:30 the competition will start and you’ll be racing off to best your opponents whilst discovering the hidden gems of London. \nWe can also provide customised lists\, for specific events like birthdays and stag do’s. DESCRIPTION:Our super spooky Halloween walks are back! Join a host of creepy characters on an adventure around Lauderdale House and Waterlow Park on the most sinister night of the year! \nFAQs\n\nIs it scary? \nThis obviously depends on your child to a large extent. You will be going around the park in the dark\, which can be creepy. However\, you will be in a group with 50 other people as well as stewards. Our actors appear as classic Halloween characters  Some of them are good humoured and fun; some of them are a bit spookier… and there’s always at least one ‘baddie’. We try to find a balance between making it a bit scary at times – it’s Halloween after all – and also funny and fun. \nWhat age is it for? \nAgain\, every child is different. On average 5 to 9-year-olds enjoy it the most\, but we regularly have little ones who have a ball and less cynical over 9’s really enjoy the fun of it too. All children must be accompanied by an adult.  \nWhat happens if it rains? \nThese shows are outside but demons and witches aren’t worried by a drop of rain so we’ll go ahead regardless unless we judge it to be dangerous. Wear your wellies\, put on your waterproofs and make the most of it! \nHow long does the walk last? \nAround 45 minutes. \nCan I bring babies? \nWe understand that it’s not always practical to leave a baby at home if you are bringing other children so are happy for you to bring young ones but please note they will need to be carried as it is not feasible to accommodate pushchairs. You do not need to purchase a ticket/space for children under 2 years old. \nIs it wheelchair accessible? \nWe regret that Waterlow Park itself is not entirely accessible. If you or your children are in a wheelchair\, please call or email us and we’ll discuss what we can do to make sure you get the best experience \nCan I order food and drink? \nOur cafe will be open to order drinks and snacks.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Annual Candlelit Christmas Concert on Thursday 5th December 2024! Once again our Candlelit Concert will be held at St Peter’s Church in Eaton Square\, London. This is the perfect start to the Christmas season – Carols by Candlelight. \nIt has always been a star-studded evening and this year we have BBC’s Lyse Doucet CM OBE and our wonderful Patrons\, Timothy West CBE and Lord Cope of Berkeley PC have promised to be with us\, with special Guest Appearance from Bibi Heal and Stephen Barlow. \nWe are also delighted that Thames Fanfare Brass will once again be raising the roof. What would a Christmas Concert be without a Trumpet Fanfare?! \nThe angelic voices of the Queen’s Gate School Choirs will fill the church with gorgeous songs\, together with wonderful harp music by Lesley Magee\, and there will\, of course\, be plenty of favourite Christmas Carols too for you to join in with! \nThe concert will begin at 7.00pm and will be followed by Mulled Wine & Mince Pies (included in your ticket). \nThis year\, more than ever\, our hearts and thoughts go out to the forgotten families of Darfur. \nKids for Kids is the only organisation helping the forgotten children in the rural villages of Darfur\, Sudan. Our concert will raise emergency funds for struggling families and children. We are not an emergency aid organisation but in desperate times we will not turn our backs on the people who need us the most. \nPlease help us make this year’s magical Candlelit Christmas Concert the most successful ever and let’s work together to make 2025 a brighter year for the people of Darfur!
