DESCRIPTION:Wish You Were Here celebrates the iconic role the postcard has played in connecting people for over 150 years. \nThe British postcard’s history began in 1870. An innovation of its time\, the postcard meant faster\, cheaper correspondence through the post. Postcards were used to send secret messages of love\, to boost morale for soldiers at war and to boast from holidays near and afar. \nVisitors can explore the postcard through history and reflect on its future with themes including romance\, First World War correspondence\, the Great British seaside\, postcards in a digital age and contemporary art\, with work from artists including Emily May\, Francesca Colussi Cramer and Guy Atkins. \nEvery visitor to the exhibition can take away their own artwork in miniature. Artist Peter Liversidge\, known for his postal inspired artworks\, has created 4 unique postcard designs for the exhibition. Visitors can select a postcard to send\, keep\, or contemplate the thought-provoking ideas printed on the cards. \nThis temporary exhibition is included with entry to The Postal Museum. Having managed several art galleries in Mayfair\, she decided to set up her own business\, ArtistAnd\, and focus on using Art for venues and businesses outside of the Gallery environment. ArtistAnd provides traditional oil paintings for branding\, marketing\, and collaboration. They specialise in classical styles and replica’s and combine them with brand ideas to create innovative and exciting pieces without the price tag of an Artwork from a gallery. In addition\, they aim to bring painting and drawing to business and deliver drawing workshops to companies to engage\, creative problem-solving and team-building. There is no better time to make this art form as accessible as possible with the strong connection between mental well-being and art. \n\n\n\nWHAT TO EXPECT?Join us and our resident artist China Jordan in this immersive workshop with music\, drinks and get completely lost in your artwork using lines\, repetition\, shapes & colour. DESCRIPTION:Launched in 2017\, Drunk Jenga Dating is one of the best cult dating events in London and is a super easy way to meet new people with a fun ice breaker game of Jenga for every date! \nEach Jenga block has a question\, funny dare or drinking game to help you find Mr or Mrs right (or just get blind drunk and make terrible decisions!). \nExpect to meet 15 people at this very popular singles event in London. The crowd is always open minded and up for a laugh.  \nJenga Dating starts at 8pm prompt and any guests arriving late may not be able to take part so please ensure you arrive 15-30 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow for registration. \nOn arrival walk to the back of the venue where the event will be taking place. One of our friendly hosts will be waiting to register you.  \nWhen everyone has arrived the host will explain how the evening will unfold and you will be provided with a scorecard\, name badge and pen. When the event begins women will be seated and men will rotate between tables every 4-5 minutes. At the end of each date guests mark on their scorecard or mobile phone whether they would like to see that person again.  \nThere will be a 15 minute break half way through to allow for refreshments.  \nThe event will finish at around 9:30pm but guests are welcome to stay afterwards. \nIf you have used your mobile phone to enter your preferences then you will be able to view your matches instantly at the end of the event.
