SUMMARY:The Miracle Course by Nevsah
DESCRIPTION:If you find that you’re constantly questioning life\, thinking something isn’t quite right\, or not quite as happy or relaxed as you should be\, then you need to do something to change that! And quickly. We believe the solution is simple: change the way you breath!   Your physical\, psychological and emotional well-being is inextricably linked to the way you breathe. Our coaches can teach their students how to identify their dysfunctional breathing habits; help them understand why they have formed these habits; address the underlying psychological or physiological issues that cause them; and\, most importantly\, learn how to push positively past them using revolutionary breathing techniques that are guaranteed to ensure those we help gain a new lease of life and\, just as importantly\, a fresh insight into their lives. \nThroughout the course you will be supported by an impressively expert team of dedicated professionals. You will be placed in a group of three and given your very own dedicated breath coach\, who will work privately with you to make sure you get everything you want to out of the Course. So the tuition will be discreet and truly tailor-made. Your coach will be your personal breathe guru\, teaching you the revolutionary methods that thousands of people have already practiced\, learned and benefited from. \nThis workshop is done with groups of 20 people. \nA respiratory coach is working with both participants. \nCONFERENCE ROOM for 40 people in London in Marylebone \nMore info: www.nevsah.com \nABOUT NEVSAH: https://www.nevsah.com/nevsah.html \nWEBSITE AND TICKETS: https://www.nevsah.com/3564-buy.html

SUMMARY:Active Involvement in Research (AIRD) 2024: in person event
DESCRIPTION:The annual Active Involvement in Research event brings together patients\, service users\, carers and local people\, researchers\, health and care professionals and organisations\, in south London and beyond. \nThe theme this year is: ‘Improving health and care in south London\, shaping future research.’ \nFor several years\, Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London has carried out research on how various types of health and social care might be improved and inequalities tackled. \nStaff\, public contributors\, community and other partners have worked hard to successfully understand and achieve change for local people who experience a range of issues. This includes those with multiple conditions and those facing disadvantage and discrimination which affects their wellbeing. But many south Londoners are still at risk and face barriers to getting the treatment and support they need. \nThis year\, Active Involvement in Research will look at: \n\nWhat the focus of future work should be from April 2026 to March 2031\, if funding is available\nHow can we\, our community and other partners build on local strengths and direct limited resources to address current challenges in useful ways? This includes not duplicating what other research teams and organisations are doing or have done\nHow can we further develop active involvement\, and recognise the value of lived experience\, in future research?\n\nThis is the first of two events. It will be held in person on 13 November 2024. The Active Involvement in Research: online event will follow on 18 November 2024. \nYou are welcome to join us at either or both events to hear about thinking to date and share your own views\, which will help to shape future research. Further information will follow\, but places are limited so it is advisable to book early. \nAttendance is free and all are welcome. \nFind out more \n\nTo find out more about the event\, please email involvement coordinator savitri.hensman@kcl.ac.uk. SUMMARY:Anna Hulačová at Each Place Its Own Mind - Free Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Edel Assanti presents Each Place Its Own Mind (17 January – 15 March 2025)\, featuring Czech artist Anna Hulačová among eight international artists. Hulačová’s innovative work bridges ecological themes with artistic experimentation\, offering a profound meditation on humanity’s bond with nature. \n\nHulačová contributes a series of striking concrete busts with honeycomb interiors\, created in collaboration with bees during their swarming season. These sculptures symbolize the ancient interconnection between humans and bees\, evoking a hybrid organism that reflects the porous relationship between body and consciousness. The pieces embody the exhibition’s theme of interwoven experiences across species\, exploring the shared psyche of all beings inhabiting a place. \nEach Place Its Own Mind engages with ideas from David Abram’s The Spell of the Sensuous (1996)\, reimagining humanity’s relationship with the natural world. It showcases an interdisciplinary mix of drawing\, sculpture\, film\, and installation\, addressing ecological\, cultural\, and ancestral narratives. Alongside Hulačová’s work\, the exhibition includes pieces by Mirtha Dermisache\, Noémie Goudal\, Sky Hopinka\, and others\, fostering a dialogue about the enchantment of the world and the interconnected web of existence. \nThe exhibition opens with a private view on 16 January 2025\, from 6-8 pm. \nAnna Hulačová (b. 1984\, Sušice\, Czech Republic) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts\, Prague (2012). She lives and works in Prague. Her work has been shown internationally\, including at the National Gallery\, Prague\, Czech Republic; Centre Pompidou\, Paris\, France; Baltic Triennial\, Vilnius\, Lithuania; Meyer Riegger\, Berlin\, Germany; and the Louis Vuitton Foundation\, Paris\, France. \n\nOpening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 11am – 6pm
