SUMMARY:Jeremy Jeffs – Lives We Cannot Live
DESCRIPTION:Documentary film maker and photographer Jeremy Jeffs spent three years photographing and interviewing people with ME in their homes. Lives We Cannot Live reveals the hidden reality of living with the condition. \nCurated by Sebah Chaudhry and supported by the ME Association\, the exhibition sets out to bring visibility to a hidden and neglected community and encompasses environmental portraits\, collaged with diary notes and personal memories of before being ill\, selected from more than 50 cases. \nDiagnosed with ME as a teenager\, Jeffs shares the lived experiences of his sitters and captures an intimate side of life rarely witnessed even by close friends. Hidden symptoms mixed with a general lack of awareness make this a doubly invisible and isolating disease. \n“I started this project out of frustration and anger because in the almost four decades since my diagnosis nothing has really changed. We still don’t know much about ME\, there’s still a lack of proper funding for research\, no clear treatment\, and worse\, there’s still widespread misunderstanding about the illness\, even among some healthcare professionals.” \nAround 400\,000 people in the UK have this debilitating and as yet incurable illness. Symptoms include profound fatigue\, sleep disturbance\, post-exertional malaise\, cognitive difficulties and a range of other symptoms like pain\, headaches\, nausea and intolerance to lights and noise. \nLives We Cannot Live is the first large scale project to focus on ME and precedes the publication of a photo book with Fistful of Books later this year.

DESCRIPTION:21 June – 22 September \nJoin us for ‘Black Darter: A Dragonfly Safari’\, a new exhibition by renowned wildlife and landscape photographer Andrew Fusek Peters \nFor eight years\, photographer Andrew Fusek Peters has been trailing the Black Darter dragonfly across the upland habitat of the Long Mynd\, Shropshire. Photographing the Black Darter from dawn through to dusk\, Andrew captures the intricate detail of this endangered dragonfly\, drenched in dew or silhouetted by sunlight. \nAndrew Fusek Peters is a wildlife and landscape photographer who has been photographing wildlife across Shropshire and the UK for the last 13 years. His work regularly appears in the national media \,and he was awarded Highly Commended in the British Wildlife Photography Awards 2025 for his photograph of a black darter dragonfly under the Milky Way. \nThe exhibition will be open to the public from 21 June to 22 September 2025\, and is included with admission.

SUMMARY:Possible Impossibilities
DESCRIPTION:Possible Impossibilities is a collaborative exhibition by German mixed media artist Hanna ten Doornkaat and Dutch photographer Shiba Huizer. With their artistic styles diverging significantly\, their collaboration illustrates the aphorism ‘opposites attract’. \nThe exhibition echoes Aristotle’s belief in the probability of impossibilities by emphasising their allure\, and by embracing the concept of likely impossibilities over improbable possibilities. \nHanna ten Doornkaat’s recent works are an exploration of unfamiliar territory\, blending the clean process of minimalism with more organic elements. She is interested in the gap between idea and reality. Her aim is to minimise emotional gestures and to reject anonymous perfection in favour of preserving her unique imprint. \nShiba Huizer is an intuitive photographer who uses subcultural references inspired by her family history in 1960s Curaçao to create a new vision of male beauty and Dutch colonial history. \nAs Huizer continues to navigate the dynamic landscape of photography\, her journey is characterised by a dedication to celebrating diversity\, challenging conventions\, and exploring the fluidity of gender and identity through her lens. \nHuizer attended the Rietveld Academie\, Amsterdam\, where she studied art and design but eventually graduated with a degree in photography. She has seven years’ experience teaching photography and digital media at the University of Amsterdam. She has exhibited widely in art galleries throughout the Netherlands\, with assignments ranging from fine art portraits to fashion editorials for a number of magazines. \nIn 2008 she moved to London to study fashion photography at the London College of Fashion (LCF). She was awarded an MA (distinction)\, and in 2011 received the MA Fashion Design and Technology Award in Media. \nPossible Impossibilities is part of a series of exhibitions hosted by White Noise Projects\, a group of emerging and mid-career artists who showcase meticulously chosen artworks through a series of group and solo exhibitions. \nEstablished in 2017 by mixed media artist Hanna ten Doornkaat and painter Annamarie Dzendrowskyj the collective curates exhibitions centred around themes pertinent to contemporary artistic practice\, and in response to exhibition spaces that surpass the idea of the white cube. \nPossible Impossibilities runs concurrently with Chromatic Journey\, a solo exhibition by Jennifer Talbot.

He studied Photography and Video at Istanbul Bilgi University on a full scholarship. He was among the first participants of the Documentary Photography School organised by the Photography Foundation. Through photography\, he seeks to narrate personal histories and collective memory. His artistic practice is rooted in geographies where land\, conflict\, and identity are deeply intertwined. He primarily produces work in the Middle East and Eastern countries\, focusing on how place shapes people’s lives\, memories\, and social fabric. Ovayolu is an artist who conveys personal stories and collective memory through the language of photography. He has been living in London\, UK\, since 2022.\n\n\n\nNacho Rivera (Madrid\, 1977) is a Spanish photographer and educator based in London. With a mindful and artistic approach\, the thread of human experience runs through his work. He delights in detail\, highlighting the subtle and the unexpected\, creating thoughtful\, serene and meaningful images\, with an emphasis on narrative. His work has been published in books and magazines such as The British Journal of Photography\, The Telegraph Luxury Magazine\, The Times\, AD Magazine\, House and Garden and GQ Magazine. His projects have been displayed in Museums\, Galleries and International Photography Festivals\, including The Mediterranean Museum in Spain\, The Hoxton Gallery and The Manchester Contemporary in the UK\, amongst others. As a photography teacher and mentor\, He has shared his knowledge and experience in schools such as Lycée Français Charles De Gaulle and Kings College in London. He has also participated as a panellist at Photography Festivals\, most recently at RevelaT in Barcelona. \n\n\n\nSemra Diana Halipoğlu (b. 1987\, Bulgaria) is a visual artist specialising in photography. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Akdeniz University\, majoring in Photography.\n\n\nHer practice explores themes of identity\, mythology\, and the hidden structures of consciousness\, often constructing handmade scenes that merge tactile materiality with symbolic narratives. Through her work\, Halipoğlu invites viewers into a space where inner worlds\, ancient myths\, and contemporary selfhood intertwine. She currently lives and works in London. \n\n\n\nSeren Şarapçıoğlu is a Brighton-based visual artist whose work navigates the fragile territories between memory\, identity\, nature\, and existence. Working primarily with photography\, she transforms her images through subtle manipulations\, bending the familiar into the unfamiliar. In her recent portraits\, the deliberate erasure of eyes dissolves certainty\, inviting viewers to confront the unseen emotional landscapes within each figure. Her practice drifts between documentary and experimental narrative\, creating porous spaces where image and memory blur. Through gestures of disappearance and transformation\, she explores the shifting thresholds between the human body and the world it inhabits.\n\n\n\n\n\nYiğit Günel is a London-based multidisciplinary photographer whose work centres around people-based stories\, captured through a meticulous approach to lighting and a focus on authenticity. Since founding CULT in 2022\, he has expanded his practice to include Cult Creative Meet-ups\, a platform for artists and creatives in East London to connect and openly discuss the mental health challenges within the creative industry. Yiğit was selected for the London Creative Network Artist Development Programme in 2021 with Four Corners and continues to exhibit his work both locally and internationally. His notable exhibitions include New Photography (2015) at Alan Istanbul and 34 Women 34 Portraits (2012) at the Antalya Film Festival\, among others. His work has been published in Photographing a Rebellion by Ozcan Yurdalan (2014) and Moscow Diary\, a self-publication in 2005. He has also lectured and conducted workshops on storytelling through photography\, advanced lighting techniques\, and portraiture\, most recently hosting ongoing monthly Cult Creative Meet-ups in East London.\n\nCurator Dr Nilay Islek is a London-based artist\, academic\, and curator originally from İzmir\, Turkey. She studied photography at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University and completed her PhD at the Department of Radio\, Television\, and Cinema at Ege University\, focusing on visual culture\, collective memory\, and conceptual photography aesthetics.\n\n\nKnown for her interdisciplinary approach that combines artistic production\, curatorial practice\, and education\, ISLEK has taught photography in various institutions over the years and actively participated in documentary\, conceptual\, and cross-cultural projects. In 2016\, she became the first female photographer from Turkey to be awarded the title of “X-Photographer” by Fujifilm.\n\n\n\nIn 2018\, she relocated to London after being awarded the prestigious “Exceptional Talent” artist visa by the United Kingdom. SUMMARY:Michael Ormerod: Vanishing Point Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition ‘Michael Ormerod: Vanishing Point’ is the first exhibition on this unique photographer for almost 20 years. \nMichael Ormerod (1947-1991) was a British photographer with a distinctive and powerful voice. His career was tragically cut short on August 7th\, 1991\, in a road accident on his last field trip to the USA. \nHe is known for his striking and evocative images capturing American landscapes and urban scenes. His work often depicted the raw\, gritty reality of life in America\, showcasing its beauty and challenges. Ormerod’s photography gained recognition for its powerful storytelling and unique perspective on the American experience. \nHis legacy continues influencing contemporary photographers\, and his work remains highly regarded in the photography community. Despite this\, only one major exhibition of his work has taken place over the last 33 years\, in 2003. \nSince his untimely death in 1991\, Ormerod’s work has been held at the Millennium Picture Library in London. At a family event in 2012\, celebrating his life and photographic work\, his daughter Ali had a wonderful conversation with one of Ormerod’s closest friends\, fellow photographer Geoff Weston. \nThis conversation led to a shared intention: to return to the archive and revisit his photographic legacy. We have since discovered a trove of previously unseen negatives from Ormerod’s trips to America. Working closely with the help of Alan Thoburn\, over a decade\, we have cherished the opportunity to consider these previously unseen images and curate a new collection that deserves public display. \nThanks to the generous donations to a Kickstarter campaign\, we are able to present this body of Ormerod’s never-before-seen work to a wider audience. \nJoin us in appreciating his legacy. \nPlease note that for Sunday openings the gallery will close at 4pm instead of 6pm.

This area of southeast Sweden is known for its artists and for drawing creative inspiration from nature and landscape. \nTaking On The World is a series of cow portraits that relate and resist a relationship with the people around them. A series of landscapes and close-ups\, The Black Hit Of Space juxtaposes the natural landscape with human interventions\, discarded items\, and buildings that leave a slow\, decaying effect on the environment. New Wave connects Dennersten’s earlier focus of photographing bands in Sweden in the 1980s and 1990s\, including vinyl covers of forgotten Swedish music\, and an invitation for everyone to come along to the gallery for a daily listening party at high noon.

Taking place at London’s Paddington Station (Platforms 8 & 9) from 3 – 30 July\, the South West Coast Path Photographer of the Year Exhibition offers visitors the chance to view all the winning images from this popular photography competition… and more.\n\nHighlighting the diversity\, beauty\, wildlife\, heritage and seasonality of the coastal environment\, both on and around the South West Coast Path – 630 miles of stunning coastline spanning four counties\, from Minehead to Poole – the exhibition will also include images that illustrate all too clearly the impact of climate change on and around England’s longest National Trail.\n\nOrganised by the South West Coast Path Association\, the South West Coast Path Photographer of the Year competition is now in its 12th year\, although this is the first time that a public exhibition has been held for it in the capital\, thanks to headline sponsors\, Great Western Railway (GWR) along with the support of Network Rail. Choosing an overall winner from the 1\,500 entries was a challenging task for the judges\, who awarded the coveted title to James Loveridge for his striking photograph entitled ‘An aerial view over Lyme Regis Cobb during Storm Ciaran’ (shown)\, which impressed the panel both with its beauty and its messages.\n\nVisitors to the South West Coast Path Photographer of the Year Exhibition at Paddington Station will be able to view James’ winning image\, as well as see beautiful photographs from the winners and runners-up in competition categories that include Urban Lines\, Climate Change\, Sky Shot and Young Photographer of the Year.\n\nThere will also be a free-to-enter competition at the stand to win a framed print of a photograph of your choice from the selection on display\, as well as plenty of information about visiting the South West Coast Path\, and the work of the South West Coast Path Association and its partners to protect and preserve this beautiful natural treasure for all. His obsession with psychological concepts such as identity and aesthetics are central to his artistic practice which he defines as visual storytelling that coexists as conceptual and expressionist art. Vodden enjoys the juxtaposition of using traditional mediums such as oil paint in uncharacteristically controlled techniques to create intensely contemporary aesthetic images that could\, upon first glance\, be considered digital in origin. \n\n\n\nHis work has is recognised across the UK and internationally\, and has been included in exhibitions in Abu Dhabi\, Milan\, New York\, and London \n\n\n\nAll guests who make a purchase at FLUX Exhibition will receive a Limited-Edition hand-signed artwork worth £200 by artist Catarina Diaz\, offering an opportunity to own a unique piece of contemporary art. SUMMARY:Hooray For The Here And Now - Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Hooray for the Here and Now is the first solo exhibition by multi-disciplinary artist Sam Haynes. The exhibition title reflects the positive outlook that defines her practice. \n\n\n\nStraddling sculpture and photography to balance an intuitive\, playful process within a structural framework\, the artist presents an ambiguous body of work that defies categorisation. Assemblage photo works will be shown alongside a series of sculptures constructed using materials sourced from the recent renovation of the gallery space itself. \n\n\n\nHaynes uses light and shadow to manipulate perspective and perception. Found objects and everyday materials are elevated to luxury items\, and precarious constructions are granted longevity in fine art photography\, introducing an element of drama and celebration to a fleeting moment. DESCRIPTION:‘Sex\, Lies and Spies’ is a series of thought-provoking images from East End photographer Joe Leslie marking the 60th anniversary of Britain’s biggest political scandal of the 20th century – the Profumo Affair. \n\n\n\nFeaturing the main protagonists of the 1960s crisis – government minister John Profumo\, models Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice-Davies\, socialite Stephen Ward\, Russian spy Yevgeny Ivanov\, notorious slum landlord Peter Rachman\, jazz promoter Johnny Edgecombe and jazz singer Lucky Gordon – Leslie has reimaged the scandal through a unique captivating visual  journey\, with Keeler being the main subject. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition explores the entire affair\, from 1961 through to the resignation of Profumo in 1963 and Keeler’s court trial. \n\n\n\nThe artwork is part of Brick Lane Gallery’s Art in Mind exhibition.
