SUMMARY:Bury Me Before You Marry Me

SUMMARY:The Hound of the Baskervilles | King’s Head Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary Sherlock Holmes tale\, first published 125 years ago\, comes to life in a wildly enjoyable\, fun-filled comedy mystery. \nWhen Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead in the grounds of Baskerville Hall\, his family estate on Dartmoor\, with a look of terror carved on his face and the paw prints of a gigantic hound beside him\, the great detective Sherlock Holmes is summoned from Baker Street. With loyal Dr Watson in tow\, the legendary sleuths must unravel the mystery and crack the ancient curse of The Hound of the Baskervilles. \nThe play is brought vividly and brilliantly to life by Inner Voice Theatre Company\, a young Bristol-born theatre company making its London debut less than a year after launching. Three super-talented West Country actors – Ezra Clarke\, Robert Carden and Gabe Willem – play fourteen roles between them in this ultra-high-energy comedy. Produced and directed by award-winning director Steven Clarke\, this production is suitable for ages 8+ \n‘A brilliant\, funny show\, with a great cast\, playful direction and hundreds of jokes.’ — Gareth Edwards\, veteran BBC/Channel 4 comedy producer. The script\, by Olivier Award nominees Steven Canny and John Nicholson\, is packed with verbal and visual wit\, delivering a sublimely engaging and hilarious adaptation of this rip-roaring British classic. ‘Bursts with imagination\, intelligence and irreverence’ — The Guardian. SUMMARY:Nina | Battersea Arts Centre
DESCRIPTION:“I’m a seagull. No\, that’s not right. I’m an actress.”\nA series of actresses audition to play Nina in The Seagull for a charismatic\, yet sinister director. His methods are unorthodox\, annihilating\, and very effective. \nIn a debut play from celebrated director Caroline Williams\, co-directed by award-\nwinning artist Deborah Pearson\, NINA questions why so many women are drawn to\nplay an actress who has everything taken away from her by men. And why do the men\nin Chekhov’s original play keep trying to turn the girls they fancy into dead seagulls? \nIn a post #MeToo era\, NINA is a meta theatrical fever dream on coercion\, power and the quest for creative expression. \n“One of the most insightful encounters I have had in a theatre.” Theatre Voices \n“If the opportunity presents itself to see Pearson’s work you must go immediately.” The Huffington Post

SUMMARY:Colin Manford - off The Record - Comedy
DESCRIPTION:Colin Manford returns with Off The Record- the music investigation nobody asked for\, but absolutely needed. \nA fast-paced\, storytelling stand-up show that digs into the strangest stories\, myths and mysteries hiding in the world of pop music. \nFrom iconic songs and bizarre recording sessions to misheard lyrics\, urban legends and the questionable behaviour of certain celebrities\, Colin pulls apart the moments we all think we know… and reveals the nonsense underneath. Expect detective-style breakdowns\, wild theories\, visual evidence\, audience interaction\, and a level of confidence about facts that really shouldn’t be delivered with confidence. \nFresh from packed shows across the UK\, Colin blends observational stand-up with multimedia chaos\, cartoon noir slides\, and forensic overanalysis of songs that probably don’t deserve it. It’s silly\, clever\, daft and a genuinely unique take on music-based comedy. \n

SUMMARY:Room 13 | Battersea Arts Centre
DESCRIPTION:Some doors should stay sealed.\nIn the days following the devastating fire in Battersea Arts Centre on Friday 13 March 2015\, a team of builders uncovered a sealed chamber in the original stone structure. When they opened the chamber\, what they found was so disturbing that the renovation came to an immediate halt. \n11 years later\, the door is unsealed once again. The door to Room 13… \nCreated by experiential theatre company Immersive Octopus\, this spine-chilling production blurs the lines between local history and imagined unreality\, inviting groups into Room 13 for a theatrical experience that will shock\, thrill and leave you breathless. With a combination of live performers\, special effects and immersive design offering jump scares aplenty – Halloween at BAC has never been more terrifying. \nDirected by Tom Maller\, the multi award-winning director behind immersive productions Peaky Blinders: The Rise\, Doctor Who: Time Fracture\, The Paddington Bear Experience and Secret Cinema productions of Casino Royale\, Blade Runner and Romeo + Juliet. \n  \nFor exact showtimes\, check their website HERE

SUMMARY:How to Be Feral: Movement Practices to Re-Wild Your Body with Claire Loussouarn
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a four-session online course exploring the feral intelligence of the body: how it listens\, questions\, adapts\, resists habit\, and remembers what modern life teaches us to forget. \n‘How to Be Feral: Movement Practices to Re-Wild Your Body’ invites you to explore unfamiliar ways of moving that unsettle what we think we know about our bodies. Drawing from Claire Loussouarn’s book How to Be Feral\, we’ll practise trusting instinct before understanding\, and learning from the more-than-human world.  \nAcross four fortnightly sessions\, we’ll use movement as a mode of thinking and knowing\, alongside simple forms of movement mapping\, to explore how movement can open different perspectives\, train attention\, and reconnect us to parts of ourselves that have been quietened by social and cultural conditioning. Together we’ll approach our everyday environments as something to be received\, listened to and moved with. \nLed by movement artist Dr Claire Loussouarn and hosted by IMT Gallery\, the course offers a reflective and practical space for artists\, performers\, writers\, researchers\, educators\, somatic practitioners\, ecologists\, and anyone curious about how the body can think\, sense and know. \n🌿 No movement experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore. \nThe course begins 4 October 2026. \nFollow the link below for full details\, and to book.

SUMMARY:Ballerinas
DESCRIPTION:“They have two faces. The smiling\, perfect one the audience sees. And then the dark one that emerges behind the curtain\, when the rehearsed smile falls and the face contorts into a grimace because they are choking…” \nPart memoir\, part reckoning\, Ballerinas is a raw\, darkly comic exploration of the elite ballet conservatory system and the feverish atmosphere of the 1990s. Adapted from her acclaimed autobiographical novel\, performer and director Miřenka Čechová traces the often brutal journey of young girls pursuing ballet dreams\, exposing a world shaped by discipline\, ambition and sacrifice. \nBlending movement\, theatre and personal testimony\, Čechová creates a deeply intimate work that lays bare both the physical demands and psychological cost of artistic training. Revisiting past traumas with unsparing honesty and self-deprecating humour\, Ballerinas becomes not only an examination of a toxic system\, but also a powerful search for identity\, resilience and catharsis. \nThe show will be performed in English.  \nMiřenka Čechová is a Czech author\, choreographer\, director and performer whose multidisciplinary practice spans theatre\, dance and documentary storytelling. A former classical ballet dancer and co-founder of the theatre companies Spitfire Company and Tantehorse\, she has built an international reputation for creating deeply personal\, socially engaged works that transform autobiography and real-life testimony into powerful physical theatre. Her acclaimed books and performances include Miss America and Ballerinas\, the latter receiving nominations for both the European Union Prize for Literature and the Theatre Newspaper Award. \nConcept\, Direction and Performance: Miřenka Čechová\nDramaturgy: Martina Kinská\nDirectorial Collaboration: Janka Ryšánek Schmidtová\nTheatrical Collaboration: Tereza Dočkalová\nSet Design: Petr Boháč\, Eva Matoušová\nMusic: Martin Tvrdý\nLive Music: Mary C\nLighting Design: Filip Horn\nAnimation: Linda Arbanová\nVideo: Tereza Vejvodová\nCostumes and Objects: Eva Matoušová\nProduced by: Spitfire Company \nWith the support of the City of Prague. \nThis event is part of the 30th Made in Prague Festival organised by Czech Centre London.

SUMMARY:Huella by Isadora - London Theatre
DESCRIPTION:At the edge of ecological collapse\, Huella unfolds around an ambiguous waterfall carrying the memory of water\, as new geologies emerge. Through eco-poetic symbolism\, a danced installation-performance of textural and flamenco soundscapes traverses dissonant yet porous\, solastalgic bodies and landscapes\, entangled in the waterfall’s trace.\nOpening onto an uncertain time between an altered present and a future archive\, the waterfall holds play\, intimacies\, rituals\, human and animal passages\, alongside contaminated sediments and materials that persist. \nHuella emerges from the lived tension of perceiving the living world’s alteration while continuing to inhabit everyday life. It resonates with solastalgia: the feeling that arises as a familiar environment transforms while we are still living within it.\nThe narrative is embodied through a movement language inspired by contemporary improvisation and the geometries of Vogue and flamenco aesthetics.\nFragments from Lorca’s Suites and Libro de poemas also appear as poetic undercurrents. \nIsadora is a French-Tunisian artist working across movement\, performance and installation\, born in Paris and based in London. As a Vogue performer and member of the Iconic House of Milan (as Isadora Milan)\, she walks balls internationally. She develops an experimental movement language inspired by New Way Vogue\, Arms Control\, contemporary improvisation and flamenco. Her hybrid practice seeks to unsettle dominant perceptions of feminine representation and embodiment\, while increasingly engaging with ecological transformation and with human and more-than-human experiences. She also works with costume and objects as spaces for transformation and play. \nDirected and performed by: Isadora\nInstallation concept: Isadora\nCante: Carlos de Luisa\nOriginal guitar composition and live guitar: Michael McMahon\nCostume design: Isadora\, Amber Jiang\nLighting design: Emma Gasson. \nBooking: https://tickets.thecockpit.org.uk/sales/Shows/voila-festival-2026/huella
