Untie the ropes is a song about personal growth\, freedom and self-respect. With this song KOMRAUS wants to remind us all that we are free to choose what we want to be. That’s the reason why they support with this song all the brave ones that are living complicated situations as refugees: the LGBT refugees.\nKOMRAUS is a band formed in London by European successful professional musicians that with their next single feel the urge to raise awareness about the refugees situation and in particular the LGBT refugees. KOMRAUS members were all somehow migrants themselves when they first arrived in London many years ago and now they feel again the uncertainty\, like many others\, of Brexit. Sara Rioja\, the singer and one of the composers of the band\, is originally Spanish; Spain is one the countries welcoming more refugees in the last 30 years\, so the band decided to start a collaboration with one of the biggest not for profit organizations in this subject: CEAR. Over 350\,000 people have been attended and helped by CEAR in the last 10 years. The non- for-profit organization has been working for 40 years in awareness\, education\, social integration and international human rights. ‘Untie the ropes’ and KOMRAUS will be a bridge to communicate in other territories the job that CEAR (the Spanish Commission helping refugee’s) does and in particular for the LGBT community. All funds from the single\, merch and concerts will be directed to CEAR.\nThe song was recorded Live in one take (as all the other songs in the upcoming album) at Andy Whitmore Studios in West London (Lemar\, Eternal\, Elton John). The band keeps the magic and communication of the live performance in this unique recording.\nThe empowering music-video of Untie the ropes will see the light on the 6th of November\, coinciding with the headline show that KOMRAUS organizes at The Victoria in London to raise funds for CEAR (Spanish Commission Helping refugees) and for the LGBT Refugees. The music video follows the aesthetic of previous KOMRAUS music videos\, always directed by the talented Pedro Caxade\, who has worked before for Channel 4\, Sky TV and in a film with the likes of Aidan Gillen. He has shaped the magical visual world of KOMRAUS in their brand image and music videos. The new video will be another sign of the well looked after artistic and musical work of the band.

DESCRIPTION:SPRINGBOARD is a brand new performance night curated by Mainspring Arts. \nIt’s a space for performers of all kinds to share their work\, experiment and try out new ideas in front of a friendly and supportive crowd\, and for audiences to kick back\, have a drink or two and enjoy a night of exciting performance – all whilst supporting and celebrating neurodiversity in the arts. \nThe night will feature music\, theatre\, poetry and more from some of London’s best up-and-coming neurodivergent artists. \nDoors 7pm for a 7.30 start. Tickets £5 in advance or £6 cash on the door. \nAll proceeds from the night will go towards the running costs of Mainspring’s latest project Square Peg Scripts\, a playwriting opportunity for neurodivergent adults.

SUMMARY:Spatial Opera in the Dark CONFESSIONS
DESCRIPTION:Opera “Confessions” was inspired by an interest in spatial electronics\, in particular – the spatial acoustic sound and its impact upon the human imagination. Therefore\, the authors have decided to create a spatial opera in the dark\, focussing on the expansion of possibilities offered by the acoustic surroundings. The Christian idea of the seven deadly sins serves as the basis for the libretto. \nThe seven parts of the “Confessions” are concerned with the seven cardinal sins – lust\, gluttony\, greed\, sloth\, wrath\, envy\, pride. “Confessions” combines diverse ideas of creative experiments cherished by the authors for a long time: performance of music in the dark\, incorporation of other human senses (smell\, touch) along with alleged complete removal of the visual aspect. However\, in the opera\, the latter is in fact the most activated factor in the listener’s imagination – through abstract audio images and concrete pre-recorded sounds that produce strong imagery linked to feelings\, sensations or objects. \nIn 2016\, opera “Confessions” was awarded the Golden Stage Cross for the best music\, along with the Musical Nail of The Year award of the Lithuanian Composer’s Union. The Concert Theatre and CAN present a re-imagining of the concert form\, interweaving music by Debussy with a classic Chinese tale\, ‘The Travels of Lao Can’ (老殘遊記). \nAll the way from Taiwan\, the production team is based on Lao Can Impression to explore the cultural exchange between east and west by combining Chinese and western approaches to music and drama. \nBe entertained as the performers fuse beautiful culture and modernization into their pieces.
