SUMMARY:The House - Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:IMT Gallery presents The House\, an exhibition of works by Tom Clark\, Guest-Host-Guest\, Harri Harrison\, Heiðdís Hólm\, Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson\, Anna Sebastian\, Kristina Stallvik and Suzanne Treister. It features work that all\, often through degrees of autobiography\, speaks to some of the discordances of being at home: perhaps the anticipation of order amidst the everyday; or an expectation of comfort\, often amidst insecurity or tension. \nThe exhibition is a place where we might live. Often\, when visitors come to this gallery\, they ask her if she lives here. They ask\, “Do you live here?” They ask\, “Are these your cats?” I lived here once too. I don’t anymore. This exhibition is about living somewhere. Perhaps it is about reaching for this thing. \nIn the words of Guest-Host-Guest: ‘Here\, the house is a metaphor for assumed belonging. A place we are expected to be ‘resolved’ or ‘satisfied’\, even when displacement\, precarity\, and contested ownership sit just beneath the surface.’ \nThe exhibition is a hand with a mirror in front of it. The mirror reflects some flowers or a field. Behind the hand is a sky. In front of the sky is a blank\, featureless wall. All these things at various distances from the camera. A cat; a home; a gallery; a municipality listed on a birth certificate (since burned). The house. \nCurating at Home: Making Personal Spaces of Creative Agency\nOnline Course with Dr Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson \nApril – May 2026 \nOrganised to coincide with The House\, join us for a four-session online course exploring how we live with art\, and how the art we live with shapes the way we live. \nHeld fortnightly\, Curating at Home: Making Personal Spaces of Creative Agency invites you to look closely at the rooms\, objects\, and artworks that surround you. Drawing on art practices\, histories\, philosophy\, exhibition-making\, and practices of everyday attention\, we will explore how meaning is shaped through arrangement\, context\, and the lived rhythms of domestic space. \nLed by artist\, educator\, and curator Dr Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson and hosted by IMT Gallery\, each session brings together case studies\, creative exercises\, and guided activities designed to help you think with and through your own environment. \nPlaces are limited — the course begins 12 April. SUMMARY:Desire to Create: Baťa's Architecture of Belonging
DESCRIPTION:The Czech Centre London\, in collaboration with the Tomáš Baťa Foundation and the Bata Heritage Centre\, marks the 150th anniversary of Czech entrepreneur Tomáš Baťa\, founder of the global Baťa Shoe Company\, with an exhibition exploring his achievements\, guiding principles\, and their realisation in East Tilbury. It reveals how ideas about work\, culture\, sport\, health and community were embedded in the design of the built environment. \nThe exhibition unfolds in two complementary strands. Desire to Create presents Baťa’s legacy as a comprehensive philosophy\, uniting work with service\, enterprise with education\, and personal development with responsibility towards others – not as a relic of the past\, but as a continuing source of inspiration. Baťa’s Architecture of Belonging brings East Tilbury to life through architectural drawings\, historic photographs and original artefacts\, evoking its distinctive modernist atmosphere. Together\, they trace how ideas were translated into built form – from vision to planning\, from planning to everyday life – creating a cohesive narrative of belonging\, work and community. \nOrganised by the Czech Centre London in partnership with the Bata Heritage Centre. \n\nEXHIBITION OPENING\nThursday 9 April 2026\, 6.30 – 8.30 pm\nFree entry\, Register Here\nEXHIBITION DATES: 10 April – 12 June 2026\nVENUE & OPENING TIMES\nVitrínka Gallery\, Czech Centre London\n30 Kensington Palace Gardens\, London\, W8 4QY\nOpening hours: Tue – Fri 10 am – 5 pm

SUMMARY:Noisy World - Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:With simple line drawings of ordinary objects and mundane moments\, Perfect outlines an alternative vision to the competitive pursuit of perfectionism in modern society. \nAs though retrieved from a surreal flower press\, people\, plants and vessels are presented flattened and slightly out of shape; multiple minimalist selves cross architectural and art historical references; impressions of unrelated scenes captured on paper. \nWith each drawing a gentle act of rebellion\, against colour theory and perspective\, against hierarchies between foreground and background\, humans and things\, Noisy World celebrates the humane and humorous aspects of everyday life. \nGallery opening hours:\nSaturdays 10 am – 4 pm\nSundays 12 noon – 4 pm

SUMMARY:The Queen and the Playwright: A Royal Visit at the Prague Castle
DESCRIPTION:The photographs by Czech photographer Alan Pajer capture the historic and intimate atmosphere of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to the Czech Republic\, which took place 30 years ago\, in March 1996. \n\nHer host was the then President of the young country\, former dissident\, prisoner of conscience\, and playwright Václav Havel\, and with him the whole Czech nation. \nSet against the optimistic backdrop of the 1990s\, in a country enjoying its first years of freedom after the fall of the Communist regime in 1989\, the Queen’s visit was a significant moment. Although sharing many important moments of courage and solidarity throughout history\, the two countries had been officially separated for decades by the Iron Curtain\, as Sir Winston Churchill famously named the ideological barrier between Soviet-controlled Eastern Europe and the democratic West. In reality\, however\, it was not only an ideological divide\, but also a very real physical barrier\, marked by barbed wire\, border fortifications\, and strict controls that limited movement between East and West. \nAnd it wasn‘t all just protocol when this heavy veil was finally lifted. Queen Elizabeth II and President Havel not only exchanged state orders\, but also discussed private topics\, such as their shared love for dogs. The Queen and her husband\, HRH Prince Philip\, did not miss the opportunity to walk over the famous Charles Bridge to cross the River Vltava\, and even met some Churchill fans on the way. The visit also followed earlier visits and a long-standing interest in Prague and its cultural heritage\, shown by the then-Prince Charles. Famously\, the Queen demonstrated her well-known respect for people when she decided to visit not only the capital city of Prague\, but also the Moravian hub of Brno. \nThe visit also brought some important closure. The Queen addressed a sensitive moment in Czech-British history\, when in 1938\, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain signed the Munich Agreement\, which stated – against the will of the Czechoslovak government – that the bordering\, mainly German-speaking parts of Czechoslovakia would become part of Nazi Germany in the hope of appeasing Hitler. It was a failure which still resonates today. \nAlan Pajer (b. 1948) was one of the photographers of the Czech presidential couple since 1996\, capturing historic diplomatic moments of the newly established Czech Republic\, which came into existence in 1993 after the peaceful break-up of Czechoslovakia. \n„In this century\, my country actively supported the creation of the first Czechoslovak Republic under President Masaryk\, which had such a tragically short existence. The events that brought it to an end are the only shadow over our relationship\, and I understand and sympathise with the feelings in this country over the Munich Agreement\,“ the Queen said in Prague in 1996. Her visit is retrospectively seen as an important milestone in fulfilling the Czech ambition to join NATO and the EU. When it finally happened (in 1999 and 2004\, respectively)\, it was widely understood as a full democratic recovery for the Czech Republic. \n  \nOutdoor exhibition on the fence of the Czech Embassy\n26 – 30 Kensington Palace Gardens\, London W8 4QY\nFree access 24/7          \nOrganised by the Czech Centre in partnership with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the UK.

SUMMARY:The Space Within
DESCRIPTION:The Space Within brings together women artists from London and across the South East who incorporate glass in their practice while approaching the material from a multitude of angles. \n  \nThe exhibition title alludes to the versatility and lasting allure of glass\, with objects ranging from vessels for domestic use to those holding memories\, from figurative interpretations inspired by nature to abstract forms playing with texture\, fragility and light. \n  \nAll thirteen artists work with cast glass\, individual techniques ranging from melting and moulding to fusing and carving – their collaborative display a contemporary introduction to an ancient art form.

SUMMARY:The Museum of Connection - Workshop with Georgia Clemson and Lina Ivanova
DESCRIPTION:Embrace the power of collaborative creation in the second in a series of transformative workshops led by artist duo Georgia Clemson and Lina Ivanova\, hosted by IMT Gallery. In The Museum of Connection\, you are invited to explore the generative possibilities of collectivity through a series of guided creative exercises and to imagine working together as a new way to survive on our damaged planet. \nIn the last decade\, our experience of closeness has radically shifted. Digital interactions\, though abundant\, have left many of us reliant on screens for connection. Georgia and Lina began The Museum of Connection in response to this change\, inspired by Donna Haraway’s term Sympoiesis\, meaning making-with\, a reminder that all creation and survival depend on collaboration. \nThe duo will transform IMT Gallery into a space of encounter\, a shared and fertile ground where real-life connection and creativity can take root. Each workshop in the series will be themed for a collective act: food\, play\, touch\, and movement. For this workshop\, Lina and Georgia invite you to use your whole body to create an image with a difference\, exploring the theme of movement. \nIn this workshop\, we will gather in the gallery to create one-of-a-kind artworks\, both collectively and individually. The event will begin with a specially themed meditation\, written by the artists\, and unfold into writing and drawing games. The primary technique in this event will focus on cyanotypes\, a form of experimental camera-less photography. This technique reduces the image to its fundamental components – light\, shadow and form. The process is unpredictable by nature\, resulting in artworks that record our intentional and incidental marks\, the traces of presence\, sharing\, and interaction. Each image created is ephemeral but can be ‘fixed’ as a lasting memory of the moment. The workshop will culminate in the collaborative creation of a large-scale cyanotype. \nAs a participant\, you will have the opportunity to contribute what you make to the Museum’s growing archive\, as a living monument to community\, built within two fleeting hours\, yet resonant with the lasting memory of connection. \nEach workshop in this series is different\, so if you have joined us before\, you are welcome to join us again. No experience is necessary. Please bring your preferred drawing materials and paper\, additional supplies will also be provided. \nMeet the artists: \nGeorgia\, Clemson\, and Lina Ivanova are London-based artists with fifteen years of combined experience in creative facilitation. They first exhibited together in A Cohesion of Light at Peckham 24 (2021)\, and created The Museum of Connection in 2024. Both artists have a background in experimental photography and make work challenging the conventions of the medium. \nGeorgia’s work has been featured in Source Photographic Review\, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue Italia. Recent exhibitions include The vessel that contains me at Creative Health Camden and Retreat: the UK’s first climate refugees at Middlesex University as part of Barnet Climate Action Month. Lina is a co-founder of Revolv Collective and a recipient of the Turner Contemporary Portfolio Prize. Her work has been exhibited by RPS\, the South Bermondsey Art Trail\, and the Goethe Institut in Bulgaria. Her most recent commission is Business is driven by quarterly results\, a public art installation in Croydon\, funded by Turf Projects.  \nAre you ready to discover the power of collective creativity? Reserve your place and join this radically original happening at IMT Gallery.

SUMMARY:The Long Play Sessions: Scott Rowley with Stay Alive: The Life and Death of Stuart Adamson
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a powerful and deeply human evening with author and music journalist Scott Rowley as he discusses STAY ALIVE: The Life and Death of Stuart Adamson — the first fully co‑operative and definitive account of the life\, legacy and tragic death of one of Scotland’s most influential and enigmatic musicians. \nThis event is part of The Long Play Sessions\, ICMP’s curated series spotlighting transformative writers\, artists and cultural voices who shape the way we understand music\, identity and creative expression. Each session opens a window into the stories behind the art — blending conversation\, cultural history and lived experience. \nIn STAY ALIVE\, Rowley traces the remarkable rise and haunting decline of Stuart Adamson\, founder of both The Skids and Big Country. Drawing on unprecedented access to Adamson’s family\, bandmates\, private writings and never‑before‑seen material\, Rowley paints a vivid portrait of a man whose talent\, turmoil and working‑class pride helped define a generation of post‑punk and alternative rock. \nFrom the chaotic energy of late‑70s Scotland\, to global fame with Big Country\, to the battles with addiction\, trauma and depression that shadowed his later years\, Rowley’s narrative is unflinching\, tender\, and profoundly revealing. Far more than a music biography\, STAY ALIVE explores the weight of expectation\, the wounds we carry from childhood\, and the quiet struggles that fame can magnify rather than soothe. \nAdamson’s story — tragic\, inspiring and heartbreakingly human — resonates far beyond his era. It asks what it means to be an artist\, a father\, a survivor… and what happens when the world sees only the legend\, not the man. \nWith praise from critics and musicians alike\, this long‑overdue book is already being hailed as a definitive work on one of Scotland’s most compelling creative figures. \nTickets available here and currently on a limited 2-4-1 offer – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-long-play-sessions-scott-rowley-with-tony-butler-stay-alive-tickets-1987598655082?aff=oddtdtcreator \nPurchase the book here:\nhttps://bit.ly/stayalivescottrowley \nWhat to Expect\n\nA talk from Scott Rowley exploring the making of STAY ALIVE\, the revelations uncovered\, and the emotional weight of telling Adamson’s story\nIn‑depth discussion of creativity\, trauma\, addiction\, fame\, and the pressures placed on artists in the post‑punk and alternative rock scenes\nBehind‑the‑scenes insight into Rowley’s research\, interviews and unprecedented access to Adamson’s family and archives\nReflections on legacy\, working‑class identity and how one man’s music resonated across generations\nAudience Q&A\, offering the chance to engage directly with Rowley about Adamson’s life\, the writing process and the cultural impact of The Skids and Big Country\nBook signing — bring your copy or purchase one at the event\n\nWe look forward to welcoming you to The Long Play Sessions for a moving\, honest and unforgettable evening centred on one of Scotland’s most important — and most misunderstood — musical icons. \n\n\n\nLocation\nThe Venue\, ICMP (Queens Park Campus)\, NW6 6PA

SUMMARY:Curating at Home: Making Personal Spaces of Creative Agency with Dr Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a four-session online course exploring how we live with art\, and how the art we live with shapes the way we live. \nCurating at Home: Making Personal Spaces of Creative Agency invites you to look closely at the rooms\, objects\, and artworks that surround you. Drawing on art practices\, histories\, philosophy\, exhibition-making\, and practices of everyday attention\, we will explore how meaning is shaped through arrangement\, context\, and the lived rhythms of domestic space. \nAcross four fortnightly sessions\, we will consider how art lives with us\, and how our gestures and choices quietly curate the places we inhabit. Each session includes case studies\, creative exercises\, and guided activities designed to help you think with and through your own environment. \nLed by artist\, educator\, and curator Dr Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson and hosted by IMT Gallery\, the course offers a reflective and practical space for artists\, collectors\, curators\, students\, and anyone interested in how art shapes everyday life. \nPlaces are limited — the course begins on 12 April. \nEarly Bird rates are available until January 9 at 11:59 p.m. GMT. \nReady to rethink the spaces you live in? SUMMARY:Shahak Shapira - Selective Identity - LONDON
DESCRIPTION:Shahak Shapira is an Israeli-German comedian with Arab roots performing stand-up in English. It’s a mess. \nWith origins stretching from Baghdad to Vienna\, Shahak is a walking container for some of the planet’s most problematic identities\, navigating a world that seems very invested in deciding who he is. \n \nSounds like a downer\, but even life’s most depressing stories can make for great comedy if you end them with a punchline. In Selective Identity\, Shahak searches for those punchlines in roots\, heartbreak\, war\, racism\, depression\, never fitting in\, the search for a home\, and many other light-hearted topics – with a success rate of about 80%. \n \nContent note: This show touches on mental health and includes references to suicidal thoughts. \n \nCAN’T AFFORD A TICKET?E-Mail me at tickets@shahak.net and we’ll figure it out. I know what it’s like to be broke and want my shows to be accessible to anyone. \n\n? WHO AM I?Hey\, I’m Shahak Shapira\, an Israeli comedian in Germany\, which is\, already\, just wrong on so many levels. My comedy show on German TV got canceled so fast\, most people didn’t even know I had one. I recorded a stand up special for Comedy Central\, which would have been awesome\, but it was Comedy Central Germany\, so yeah\, not great. My TED-Talk about how to go viral has about 30\,000 views which is as sad as it is ironic. And as if all of that is not tragic enough – I’m also a DJ. \n↩️ REFUND POLICYUsually\, tickets for shows and concerts are non-refundable\, but I’m cool\, so you can get a full refund up to 14 days before the show. Please understand that I can’t offer any refund after that\, it takes a bit of financial security to be able to do these shows.

SUMMARY:Comedy Unleashed
DESCRIPTION:Comedy Unleashed is a night of free-thinking comedy with comedians who don’t self-censor! \nWhy Comedy Unleashed? \nAndrew Doyle: “Andy Shaw and I set up Comedy Unleashed because we feel that the time is right for a new alternative comedy movement. We book comics from all political backgrounds\, or those who have no interest in politics at all. Our key criteria is that they are talented and funny. ” \nFeaturing: \nStephen Grant \nA hugely popular MC at the London club\, Stephen is taking the headline spot tonight. Stephen’s energy and intellect have won him multiple awards. He makes the place buzz and he has an opinion on everything and everyone. \nArielle Souma \nArielle Souma\, a French-Ivorian comedian\, is an unapologetic force in the comedy world. Her commanding stage presence and razor-sharp delivery make her a comedic powerhouse. Known for her hilariously blunt style\, Arielle Souma is not for the faint of heart. \nTania Edwards \nTania is an utterly middle-class sceptic of middle-class sensibilities\, empty-headed fads and groupthink. She is a super popular comic at the London Comedy Unleashed club. \nJosh Howie \nHost of Free Speech Nation on GB News\, Josh is a top comic who weaves lengthy tales out of everyday life that are utterly hilarious. He’s a brilliant storyteller. Here’s clip of Josh from the London club \nDominic Frisby \nDominic is a libertarian version of Billy Bragg (with a sense of humour). Dominic’s recent video ‘We’re All far Right Now\, was retweeted by Elon Musk and got 60 million views. \nDominic will perform new songs and some old favourites \nTicket buyers will be added to the Comedy Unleashed email newsletter. SUMMARY:The Long Play Sessions: Dan Jennings with Paul Weller Dancing Through the Fire
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an intimate and expansive evening with award‑winning broadcaster and journalist Dan Jennings\, as he discusses DANCING THROUGH THE FIRE: The Authorised Oral History of Paul Weller\, the first fully authorised and definitive oral account of one of Britain’s most influential and enduring musical figures. \nThis event forms part of The Long Play Sessions\, ICMP’s curated series celebrating transformative writers\, artists and cultural voices who shape how we understand music\, identity and creative expression. Each session opens a window into the stories behind the art — blending conversation\, cultural history and lived experience. \nHosting the evening will be acclaimed author Daniel Rachel and joining as a guest will be Go! Discs founder Andy Macdonald. \nIn DANCING THROUGH THE FIRE\, Jennings traces the extraordinary creative life of Paul Weller\, from the explosive urgency of The Jam\, through the ambitious sophistication of The Style Council\, to a prolific and uncompromising solo career spanning more than three decades. Built from over 200 hours of interviews with more than 250 contributors\, including Weller himself; the book offers an unprecedented\, collective portrait of a musician whose influence has defined generations. \nDrawing on unique access to Weller’s inner circle of family\, friends\, bandmates\, producers and collaborators\, Jennings reveals the drive\, discipline and restless creativity behind a career that continually resisted nostalgia and commercial complacency. The result is candid\, generous and richly revealing — capturing not just the myth\, but the man at the centre of one of British music’s most remarkable artistic journeys. \nFar more than a standard biography\, DANCING THROUGH THE FIRE explores the realities of longevity\, reinvention and creative survival. It reflects on class\, culture\, fandom and the personal cost of sustaining artistic integrity in the public eye\, while charting how Weller became one of the very few artists to achieve Number One albums across five consecutive decades. \nPaul Weller’s story — creative\, uncompromising and continually evolving\, speaks to anyone who cares about music as a cultural force. It asks what it takes to remain vital\, curious and true to yourself when the world expects you to stand still. \nAlready hailed by critics as a landmark work of music journalism\, DANCING THROUGH THE FIRE is being recognised as the definitive account of one of Britain’s greatest artists. \nTickets available here and currently on a limited 2-4-1 offer – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-long-play-sessions-dan-jennings-paul-weller-dancing-through-the-fire-tickets-1987599404323?aff=oddtdtcreator \nWhat to Expect\n\nA talk from Dan Jennings exploring the making of DANCING THROUGH THE FIRE\, the interview process\, and the challenge of capturing a living legend through many voices\nIn‑depth discussion of creativity\, longevity\, reinvention and artistic integrity across five decades of British music\nBehind‑the‑scenes insight into Jennings’ unprecedented access to Paul Weller and his closest collaborators\nReflections on class\, fandom\, cultural legacy and why Weller’s music continues to resonate across generations\nAudience Q&A\, offering the chance to engage directly with Jennings about his research\, the writing process and Paul Weller’s cultural impact\nBook signing — bring your copy or purchase one on the night\n\nWe look forward to welcoming you to The Long Play Sessions for a thoughtful\, energising and unforgettable evening celebrating one of modern music’s most vital and uncompromising creative figures. \n\n\n\nLocation\nThe Venue\, ICMP (Queens Park Campus)\, NW6 6PA

SUMMARY:LIGHT\, LENS\, LEGEND - Willie Christie - Exhbition
DESCRIPTION:Presented at Cris Contini Contemporary in collaboration with Carola Syz Projects\, this exhibition brings into focus the enduring visual language of Willie Christie\, whose work as a fashion photographer\, spanning over a decade\, continues to resonate with striking clarity and relevance today.\n\nEmerging at a pivotal moment when fashion\, music\, and popular culture converged\, Christie photographed a constellation of defining figures\, including David Bowie\, Bryan Ferry\, Jerry Hall\, and Grace Jones. His images move beyond documentation\, constructing presence through a masterful use of light\, colour\, and composition\, creating photographs that feel cinematic and charged with atmosphere.\nA central element of his practice is his work for British Vogue\, where he produced a significant body of editorial imagery alongside ten striking covers. Created in collaboration with Grace Coddington\, then a fashion editor at the magazine and later his wife\, these works introduced a new visual language defined by narrative\, mood\, and a refined sense of artifice.\n\nAmong the highlights of the exhibition is Christie’s iconic 1969 portrait of Mick Jagger\, in which a luminous halo of light transforms the image into something mythic. Also featured are his photographs of Jerry Hall on the set of The Spy Who Loved Me at Pinewood Studios\, capturing both the scale of cinematic production and the magnetic presence of the subject.\nChristie’s later move into film\, including projects connected to Pink Floyd’s The Final Cut\, further reflects the cinematic quality that defines his work. Across both still and moving images\, his practice explores atmosphere\, narrative\, and the emotional resonance of light.\nWillie Christie: Light\, Lens\, Legend presents a body of work that remains both timeless and influential\, inviting a renewed appreciation of photography as a medium capable of shaping perception\, memory\, and desire.

SUMMARY:STASH - Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Anastasia Lewis was known as Stash to family and close friends. They celebrate the late painter’s life and art with a retrospective of work created over a period of 30 years as a full-time artist. \nAnastasia Lewis described her practice as primarily concerned with what lies beneath the perceived surface rather than an apparent reality. A strong sense of structure defines her work\, from the formal grids of earlier works and butterflies caught in patterns and repetitions\, to more recent landscapes informed by walks along the Lincolnshire coast. \nPrimarily a painter\, she also created works on paper\, collage and photography while waiting for the paint to dry. Geometry and nature come together in the vibrant abstracts Anastasia Lewis shared in her final few Instagram posts\, captioned as ‘the traces we leave as we walk’.

SUMMARY:London Loo Tour
DESCRIPTION:It’s Not the Bog-Standard London Experience! \nPrepare to be immersed (metaphorically\, that is!) in a world where the humble toilet becomes a portal to explore history\, anthropology\, art\, architecture\, identity\, and of course\, our sense of humour. \nFrom the earliest latrines through to the future of flushing\, your guide will take you on a whirlwind tour through the history of Britain’s public toilets\, with plenty of interesting sights and practical tips along the way. You’ll answer all the questions you never knew you had… How did the Romans wipe their bottoms?  Was there really a man named Thomas Crapper? How long will you spend in the smallest room in a lifetime? And why do we even call it a loo? \nIt’s the perfect day out for anyone who likes to dive a bit deeper… lifelong Londoners and first time visitors alike! One thing is for sure: you may never think about a simple visit to the lavatory the same way again!

SUMMARY:Darcey Steinke & Octavia Bright: Writing the Body in Pain
DESCRIPTION:Darcey Steinke’s This Is the Door: Notes from a Body in Pain is a profound and searching examination of pain\, moving organ by organ through the body (spine\, knees\, skin) while weaving together personal experience with literature\, art\, and medicine. From surgery to pilgrimage\, from Frida Kahlo’s pain diaries to encounters with physicians\, Steinke asks: what does pain do to us\, and what might it make possible? She is joined by Octavia Bright\, whose memoir\, This Ragged Grace\, charts a different yet equally visceral journey through addiction\, recovery\, and renewal.
