SUMMARY:Historic Homes of Hampstead Village Guided Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:Since its development from a village to an 18th Century spa town and then a Victorian suburb\, Hampstead has retained its unspoilt Georgian charm with many listed townhouses and terraces. \nIn the 19th and 20th Centuries this made it very popular with artists\, intellectuals and creatives of all kinds and there are many stories of influential figures who are former residents who left their mark on the area. \nThis includes several generations of architects\, such as Norman Shaw\, Ewan Christian and Erno Goldfinger\, many of whom built their own homes there\, adding to its architectural variety. Furthermore\, in the 20th Century the area gained a reputation as the location of several modernist architects’ experimental housing projects for wealthy clients\, including Hopkins House and Maxwell Fry’s Sun House. \nJoin our knowledgeable guide on this walking tour to learn more about the people and buildings that have shaped Hampstead\, where you will be introduced to a selection of the area’s finest architects’ homes\, historic houses\, and modernist masterpieces.

SUMMARY:Curating at Home: Making Personal Spaces of Creative Agency with Dr Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a four-session online course exploring how we live with art\, and how the art we live with shapes the way we live. \nCurating at Home: Making Personal Spaces of Creative Agency invites you to look closely at the rooms\, objects\, and artworks that surround you. Drawing on art practices\, histories\, philosophy\, exhibition-making\, and practices of everyday attention\, we will explore how meaning is shaped through arrangement\, context\, and the lived rhythms of domestic space. \nAcross four fortnightly sessions\, we will consider how art lives with us\, and how our gestures and choices quietly curate the places we inhabit. Each session includes case studies\, creative exercises\, and guided activities designed to help you think with and through your own environment. \nLed by artist\, educator\, and curator Dr Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson and hosted by IMT Gallery\, the course offers a reflective and practical space for artists\, collectors\, curators\, students\, and anyone interested in how art shapes everyday life. \nPlaces are limited — the course begins on 12 April. \nEarly Bird rates are available until January 9 at 11:59 p.m. GMT. \nReady to rethink the spaces you live in? Follow the link below for full details and to enrol.

SUMMARY:The Space Within
DESCRIPTION:The Space Within brings together women artists from London and across the South East who incorporate glass in their practice while approaching the material from a multitude of angles. \n  \nThe exhibition title alludes to the versatility and lasting allure of glass\, with objects ranging from vessels for domestic use to those holding memories\, from figurative interpretations inspired by nature to abstract forms playing with texture\, fragility and light. \n  \nAll thirteen artists work with cast glass\, individual techniques ranging from melting and moulding to fusing and carving – their collaborative display a contemporary introduction to an ancient art form.

SUMMARY:Desire to Create: Baťa's Architecture of Belonging
DESCRIPTION:The Czech Centre London\, in collaboration with the Tomáš Baťa Foundation and the Bata Heritage Centre\, marks the 150th anniversary of Czech entrepreneur Tomáš Baťa\, founder of the global Baťa Shoe Company\, with an exhibition exploring his achievements\, guiding principles\, and their realisation in East Tilbury. It reveals how ideas about work\, culture\, sport\, health and community were embedded in the design of the built environment. \nThe exhibition unfolds in two complementary strands. Desire to Create presents Baťa’s legacy as a comprehensive philosophy\, uniting work with service\, enterprise with education\, and personal development with responsibility towards others – not as a relic of the past\, but as a continuing source of inspiration. Baťa’s Architecture of Belonging brings East Tilbury to life through architectural drawings\, historic photographs and original artefacts\, evoking its distinctive modernist atmosphere. Together\, they trace how ideas were translated into built form – from vision to planning\, from planning to everyday life – creating a cohesive narrative of belonging\, work and community. \nOrganised by the Czech Centre London in partnership with the Bata Heritage Centre. \n\nEXHIBITION OPENING\nThursday 9 April 2026\, 6.30 – 8.30 pm\nFree entry\, Register Here\nEXHIBITION DATES: 10 April – 12 June 2026\nVENUE & OPENING TIMES\nVitrínka Gallery\, Czech Centre London\n30 Kensington Palace Gardens\, London\, W8 4QY\nOpening hours: Tue – Fri 10 am – 5 pm

SUMMARY:Imagine That! : Solo Art Exhibition by The Cameron Twins
DESCRIPTION:Imagine That! is the latest solo exhibition by The Cameron Twins\, opening at Protein Studios in East London and celebrating imagination through a playful\, nostalgic lens! \nThe exhibition brings together a wide range of works\, including large hand-pulled silkscreen prints\, collage\, mixed-media canvases\, sculpture\, and large-scale installation. The show will be open to the public from Friday\, 27th February to Saturday\, 28th February from 10 am to 7 pm each day. \n” Childhood is full of wild invention\, messy logic and unfiltered fun\, where fantasy is instinctive and always alive…but as we grow older\, that same sense of whimsy and wonder often fades. ‘Imagine that!’ playfully explores the tension between childhood and adulthood\, the ongoing tug-of-war between responsibility and fun\, and the internal battle to keep imagination alive. It celebrates the effort it takes to stay playful\, and the stubborn persistence of childhood imagination that refuses to behave!” – The Cameron Twins \nThe Cameron Twins are identical twins and contemporary British artists whose practice centres on hand-pulled screen printing\, layered processes\, and expressive hand-painted mark-making to create emotionally charged works rooted in nostalgia\, childhood imagery\, and pop culture. Over a short period of time\, they have built a dedicated international following\, and their work has been sold at Bonhams\, is held in significant private collections\, and has led to collaborations with brands including Bang & Olufsen\, LØCI\, and Gresham Blake. \nOpen to the Public: Friday 27th & Saturday 28th February\, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm (both days) \nLocation: Protein Studios\, 31 New Inn Yard\, London EC2A 3EY \n

SUMMARY:Peter Peri in Conversation with Dávid Fehér – Book launch and display of recent paintings
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Liszt Institute London for an evening celebrating the launch of a new monograph on Peter Peri\, published by Einspach Czapolai Fine Art. \nPeri will be in conversation with Dávid Fehér\, Director of the Central European Research Institute for Art History of the Museum of Fine Arts. Their discussion will explore Peri’s artistic practice\, key themes in his work\, and the ideas shaping his most recent projects\, offering insight into both the newly published monograph and his wider artistic trajectory. \nThe event will also feature a display of Peri’s latest paintings in the gallery\, providing a unique opportunity to experience his practice first-hand alongside the critical perspectives presented in the publication. \nCopies of the book will be available on site. All are welcome to attend. Register via Eventbrite. \n\n\nPeter Peri (b. 1971\, London) \nPeter Peri’s primary media are drawing\, sculpture\, and painting: three distinct bodies of work that are developed independently by the artist to create a complex set of interrelations. All works are specifically invested in the tension between line and volume\, figuration and abstraction\, and in the questioning of tradition and influence in Modernism. \nA graduate of Chelsea College of Art\, he made his debut at Bloomberg New Contemporaries in 2003. He has exhibited widely internationally\, including Tate Britain\, the Hayward Gallery\, and Kunsthalle Basel. Peri’s work can be found in the collections of Tate\, the Victoria & Albert Museum\, and the Museum of Fine Arts\, Budapest. Peri’s work has a personal connection to Modernism. His grandfather was Peter László Péri (1899–1967)\, a Hungarian émigré to Britain who was involved in Constructivism before turning to architecture and later in his life to Realism \n\n\nDávid Fehér \nDávid Fehér is an art historian\, director of the Central European Research Institute for Art History of the Museum of Fine Arts\, and assistant professor at the Institute of Art History at the Eötvös Loránd University. His research covers 20th-century and contemporary art\, including Pop Art\, Photorealism\, and related movements. He has curated numerous exhibitions and has published widely in academic journals\, exhibition catalogues\, and art publications. SUMMARY:Albert Kner – Artist\, Icon\, Legend
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening celebrating the book Albert Kner: Artist\, Icon\, Legend: Discovering His Legacy in Industrial Design\, co-authored by Robert Elton Brooker III and Ádám Erdész. This beautifully produced volume brings long-overdue recognition to one of the 20th century’s unsung creative minds. \nAlbert Kner (1899–1976) was a Hungarian-American designer whose work shaped modern packaging and graphic design. From inventing the cardboard six-pack and the flip-top cigarette box to producing compelling stage sets\, furniture\, and printed matter\, Kner’s contribution to visual culture is both diverse and visionary\, yet remains largely unknown. \nThis event will contain a presentation by Robert Brooker III on Kner’s extraordinary life and career\, tracing his journey from early typographic experimentation in Hungary to his post-war success as Design Director for America’s largest cardboard manufacturer\, where he was tasked with an unusual but inspiring challenge: make cardboard beautiful. \nThe book includes 112 striking illustrations in black and white and full colour\, showcasing Kner’s elegant\, often ahead-of-his-time design work. As designer and author Bruce Kennett writes\, “Brooker and Erdész have done a superb job in presenting Kner’s remarkable life in all its phases… A wonderful book from start to finish.” \nDon’t miss this opportunity to rediscover a hidden gem of 20th-century design history – book your spot now.
