SUMMARY:Nicole Line: Sublimation Printing onto textiles
DESCRIPTION:A practical\, hands-on workshop with textile artist and lecturer Nicole Line. \nLearn to hand paint and mark-make onto paper using a variety of colourful liquid dyes before transferring your designs onto recycled synthetic fabric using the heat press. Your designs will be inspired by the beautiful textiles within Leighton House or your own ideas. \nBy the end of the workshop\, you will have a greater understanding of the process\, the equipment\, and the materials needed to print at home. You will also have a collection of your own A5/ A4 textile samples and a bag to print onto. \n  \nUseful information\n\nAll levels of ability and experience are welcome.\nDress for mess and wear old trainers\, the textile inks stain clothing.\nPlease bring old white T-shirts – sublimation printing works best on synthetic fabrics. Please avoid dark colours.\nThe workshop will take place in the dedicated Learning Centre at Leighton House.\nParticipants will also have access to the museum and historic house.\nThe ticket price includes all the materials and the bespoke printed fabrics to take home.\nFriends Under 30s receive a 25% discount.
