Learn how to skate with free lessons every Fridays and Sundays.
The London Friday Night Skate is a 10-15 mile street skate around London while the Sunday Strolls are on Sunday afternoons.
The volunteer team uses different routes to teach their students each time. You can witness amazing sites as you wheel your way around London. One day you might pass famous central London roads and sights, other times you may head for some long fast down hills in Camden or Putney, or even a trip to the countryside out at Barnes.
The traffic is made aware of the skate as it passes by the volunteer marshals (on skates), and they have a portable sound system on a bicycle.
The classes take place all year-round and is subject to weather. Each Friday at 5pm the location and classes availability will be put up on their website(https://www.lfns.co.uk/). Sundays notification will be at 11am on the website as well.
Beginners are welcome for the tour as well. However, if you still want to brush up your skill before coming you can also head on down to the Easy Saturday Skate(ESS) near Battersea Park at 10am. The classes are free and often has qualified instructors.
